Gilbert Dragon, 52, a former police chief, died of a cardiac arrest, Marie Leslie Noel said, adding that she spent two weeks trying Transfer him to the hospital and work hard to complete the Covid-19 test on time.
“I finally got the authorization to take him to the hospital this afternoon, and he passed away on the way,” Noel said.
She added:
For two weeks, I have been trying to get him to leave.
Interior Minister Liszt Quieter did not respond to a request for comment.
The Haitian National Police stated in an August report that Dragon had contact with other suspects on the night of Moiz’s assassination on July 7 and participated in a planning meeting.
Noel said her husband was unfairly imprisoned, and he fell asleep in their home the night of the murder. She said that Long took the initiative to talk to investigators after hearing that the police had been looking for him.
“I am very impatient with the trial because I want to see the evidence they have,” she said.
Haiti has arrested more than three dozen people, including a group of former Colombian military officers, in connection with the investigation into the murder of Moise.
Haitian Foreign Minister Claude Joseph said on Monday that the Turkish authorities had arrested another suspect, Samir Handal, in Istanbul.
