As i wrote yesterday, Australian officials have lost their minds in mitigating COVID. We are talking about a country that has died from the coronavirus on average in the past 7 days. However, due to a small number of cases from Sydney, the city is re-entering lockdown, requiring three or three negative tests to restore basic functions of people’s homes.
This irrationality is not good for anyone. Each piece, When you compare Australia with European countries that took the same path but had worse results, the idea that Australia is only good at blockades does not pass.
On the contrary, there may be other explanations for the country’s low COVID impact. Maybe because it is an island with closed borders (unlike the US or Germany)? Perhaps it is due to Australia’s location on the earth, or is it related to their climate in addition to the original temperature figures? We have seen that despite the scattered mitigation measures and very few vaccine doses, African countries with similar climates are hardly affected by COVID. Or is it because those African countries and Australia use a lot of malaria drugs that we shouldn’t be talking about?
I am not claiming that there is a clear answer. What I want to say is that the actions of the Australian authoritarian leadership are meaningless. You cannot lock down forever, especially when deaths are almost non-existent and cases are rare. COVID will always be with us, and vaccines can prevent Delta variants that have received much attentionNo matter which government does this, it is disgusting to set an impossible standard to abuse the people.
Australian citizens have not forgotten this reality. Things have changed a lot yesterday. Large-scale protests and scuffles in Sydney were recorded. This is one such scene.

This will not be popular in certain circles, even on the right, but I believe that sometimes it is morally reasonable to fight back against the government. What is happening in Australia is one of them. In short, the police are the bad guys here, torturing the people, and beating women who dare to exercise their basic human rights. If this happens in China, it will make headlines about how terrible it is. But because it happened in a so-called civilized and free country, it found an excuse.
Those chanting “you serve us” are correct, but no one in the Australian government seems to care about this. In the end, the only way to stop this situation is to stand up and let these government officials continue to do what they are doing is unsustainable. Sometimes this can be ugly and make such a video. This may involve disobedience to the police and other authorities, but in this case it is perfectly reasonable.
Citizens of any country should not accept this behavior of their government.
