Tucker Carlson New January 6th special It turns out that this is quite disturbing for some people. As RedState has reported, There are still many problems with the government’s intervention that day. Even if you believe that the people entering the Capitol are the epitome of evil, two mistakes cannot be a correct one.
In response to the release of the special, “Never Trump” bureaucrats Jonah Goldberg and Stephen Hayes have formally resigned as contributors to Fox News. The news came today through New York Times.
Tucker Carlson’s special trailer for the Capitol mob on January 6 went live on October 27, and that night Jonah Goldberg sent a text message to his business partner Stephen Hayes: “I really want to Leaving Fox because of this.”
“I am a game,” Mr. Hayes replied. “It’s outrageous. It leads to violence. I don’t know how we can stay.”
A few days later, a complete special program “Patriot Clearance” appeared on Fox’s online subscription streaming service. Last week, both men paid Fox News writers to complete their resignation from the network.
Let me first point out that the fact that they expressed their dissatisfaction in The New York Times is enough in itself. Once you actually enter this article, it’s like another propaganda snatch by two neoconservatives, whose appearance on Fox News has been severely reduced in the past few years. In fact, it’s hard to believe that they are still getting paid to become contributors, which makes me wonder if they hold contracts that will never be renewed anyway. It’s better to go out in a rage in your own way and kneel down for your left-wing subscribers, rather than waiting to take to the street, right?
The New York Times mentioned that The Dispatch, currently run by Goldberg and Hayes, has 30,000 subscribers. The paper will not have this kind of data unless it is provided to them, which again makes the whole article feel like a publicity stunt.
However, what impressed me the most about this work was that although it made Carlson’s special voice very sinister, the New York Times or its subject provided few examples to illustrate its terrifying nature. The only thing that was really mentioned was the claim that the special program promoted the government’s unfair view of Americans as domestic terrorists. This is hardly a controversial view Recent events, But there is clearly a hive mentality, trying to declare that any issue related to January 6 is out of bounds. I don’t believe this statement, whether it is verbal or implied, obviously Tucker Carlson does not believe it either.
In any case, the news business is actually a business, and Fox News Audience Talked about. Carlson is still the most watched program in cable news, while Goldberg and Hayes only made rare appearances on Fox News Sunday and special reports, shouting Trumpism, and constantly giving Democrats a Pass. That kind of thing may still make Paul Ryan feel warm and fuzzy, but few people have an appetite for it.
However, I just don’t think this is a very principled game. Goldberg and Hayes are making money, and they have always been. They realized that they were left behind during the Trump administration because the party largely deviated from the failure of George W. Bushism. When American troops and civilians are blown up in an unwise and poorly executed war, they have no moral doubts. If I find their recent efforts to restore ethics and decency convincing, please forgive me. This latest move is just another move in a series of shifts to maintain cash inflows.
