Review – ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE is a food thermometer. Whether you are a Michelin multi-star chef or a weekend grill master, food safety is of the utmost importance. I have been married to “Public Health” for most of the decade, and I am pretty sure that the safe temperature of chicken is in our wedding vows (165 degrees Fahrenheit if you want to know). The best way to ensure food safety is to monitor the internal temperature. This is where Thermapen comes in. It can easily unfold the probe and insert the probe into the thickest part of the temperature you want to measure. The temperature is displayed on the backlit screen in large number format in Fahrenheit or Celsius. It is powered by a single AAA battery. The operation and explanation are extremely simple, but why do we need this kind of thermometer in our food warehouse? Well, friends, this is exactly what the reviewers will discover.
What is it?
The last pen food thermometer you will need. At least, according to my partner, he has worked in public health for most of the decade. I actually want to quote him:
“I have worked in kitchens and deli shops, I have worked as a sanitation inspector in the military, and I currently manage a school canteen for children. It can be said that food safety is my bread and butter. At every stage of my career , I have used food thermometers to some degree, and the pen thermometer is the simplest one. Specifically, I have always attached great importance to Thermapens for several reasons. They are very easy to use regardless of whether you wear gloves or not. The display has always been Large enough and easy to read, I like how they are cleaned and maintained. The first thing you notice is how it feels in your hands. It is never light and thin. The rubber coating around the center improves grip even when your hands are wet . So far, my favorite feature of this model is the backlit temperature display. Turning it on and off is as easy as moving the probe back and forth, reducing the risk of forgetting to turn off the thermometer after using it. Hey, it happened to us the most Good people.”
right now I am? I actually hated measuring the temperature of food. I was taught to cook through trial and a few mistakes. Then I started my baking hobby. Yeast, cheesecake, tempered chocolate, you name it, I have to figure out whether its temperature will kill it, plant it, burn it, condense it, and the ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE thermometer calms my baking anxiety Very effective m temperature conversion.

- The rubber grip also works well on bare hands and oven or grill gloves
- Rubber gasket around the battery compartment

What will i change
Honestly, it is difficult to find anything that can be changed. Thermapen has been carefully designed and made to function even under the most stressful conditions. ThermoWorks even installed rubber linings around the battery box to prevent the inevitable moisture in the kitchen or outdoors on unpredictable New England days. Perhaps the only modification I suggest is to embed a magnet on the back to fix it on a magnetic surface as another storage option, but overall, this is a very small improvement.
Final thoughts
Continuing the subject of this review, I will open my heart to my partner, who has tried to escape with this thermometer many times…:
“Proper temperature is the main pillar of food safety. I think it is difficult for anyone to find a better and easier-to-use kitchen thermometer. It is compact and provides the fastest readings of many kitchen thermometers I have used.”
It’s really a compliment to the brand. Some of my favorite attributes of the ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE thermometer is the backlit display, which can be redirected according to how you hold it. *Chef kisses*. It is the thermometer you will use every time because it is very easy to use; there is no on/off switch or timer to fumble, so it is user-friendly.
I tested this model against our Sous vide, our manual probe thermometer, and even a model I bought for giggles at IKEA, and the ThermoWorks Thermapen ONE was consistent in all tests. In fact, it was so accurate that I was finally able to clean the thermometer drawer in the kitchen. I would say that if you are looking for a thermometer, you can leave it in the roast or turkey while the roast or turkey is in the oven, you will need to look elsewhere, but with Thermomapen, you can easily sit in front Obtain almost instantaneous readings from the oven, and watch the magic happen. If you buy a kitchen thermometer in the market, this is what you want to buy. If you don’t buy a kitchen thermometer in the market, this is what it looks like during peak one-stop shopping.
