Timur Oruz has type 1 diabetes in the Olympic hockey team

At the age of five, Timur Oruz was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, which is a more serious form of diabetes. Nevertheless, he played for the German national hockey team and participated in the Olympics. How does this work?

HIn the past few years, ockey has become more restless and even faster. Sometimes, the rhythm seems almost crazy. The interruption in the game-which is immediately evident in a pair of eyes accustomed to football-is very short-lived. Offensive players are trained for five or six minutes, then pause for two or three minutes on the sidelines-and then start again. Sometimes, when the camera briefly skids over the bench of the German national team, you will see Timur Oruz playing with his phone there.
