review – What a difference a few years can make. It seemed like just yesterday, you couldn’t find battery power stations because…they didn’t exist. Then Jackery and others came along, making them popular household items. Portable power stations are very portable.Plus, they fit any budget, from Small and easy to carry arrive Huge (and heavy) power station Battery.
Right now, it seems like everyone and their cousins are doing these things — and it’s good for everyone — to compete. The way to stand out in this increasingly crowded market is to offer more features at a lower price. If you’re willing to take the plunge on a brand you may not know about, here are some interesting powerhouses to choose from. One of them is the Togo Advance330 portable power station. It has some cool features that set it apart from its pricier competition.
What is it?
The Togo Advance330 is a small portable battery powered station that can be used for camping, traveling, backyard, room-to-room charging or powering during a power outage. It has a power of 288 watt hours. The math is simple: if a product needs 10 watts, it will run for 28 hours on a full charge (depending on many factors). Another simple math problem is price.power station (do no Call them generators! ) costs about $1 per watt-hour. So a 1000 watt-hour battery would cost…$1,000. simple!

Design and Features
The Togo Advance330 Portable Power Station looks like a power station. Togo didn’t go to great lengths to make it pretty, but it does look functional – because it does. It has all the usual stuff you see on a power station of this size plus some cool features.
Please note that in order for any of the Advance330’s sockets to work properly, specific sockets and The red master on/off button must be on.
All ports are located on the front of the Advance330 and are covered for improved water resistance. The AC outlet is covered by a hard plastic cover that automatically shuts off when not in use. This can be a bit of a pain because it keeps trying to close when you try to insert something with one hand. The USB and DC ports have soft rubber flaps that also want to close, but they don’t get in your way.
A single 120V outlet supports a grounded plug – something many other power stations do not. The three USB A ports are QC3, which are fast, but not as fast as the Togo’s USB-C ports. That’s 60W — charging very fast. As USB-C becomes more and more popular, it’s more convenient to have two USB A and 2 USB-C ports.
There is the usual 12V “cigarette lighter” port (I’m dating myself) that can power a car refrigerator or other devices that can use this plug. The Advance330 has an input port that, weather permitting, can be charged from a wall outlet, a car lighter port, or a solar panel. All necessary cables are included. 2 more DCs output port. The 330’s manual doesn’t match the product and doesn’t show a DC output port, so I’m not sure what they are for.
There is a single color LED panel on the front that provides a lot of necessary information:
-
-
- battery level – how much battery life is left before it needs to be recharged
- Remaining Time – How much time is left on the battery (in hours/minutes)
- Output Power – Watts drawn from Togo by the charging project
- Remaining Charge Time – Time remaining to fully charge to 100%
- Input Power – The power of the mains to charge the Advance330
- Low voltage warning – when the item being charged is draining too much power
- Temperature warning – when the Advance330 gets too hot
- Low battery alert – Advance330 battery is approaching 0%
-
Although the LED panel is not large, it is very bright and easy to see from a distance
The interesting thing about the Advance330 is the LED light in the handle. I’ve never seen this happen before. I thought the handle light would be weak, but it’s surprisingly strong. It’s useful in work areas that need extra light. Togo also has a flashlight on the side. This is… a flashlight.
Then there’s the wireless charger that sits on top of Togo’s flat top. It will (wirelessly) charge any device (almost all smartphones today) using standard protocols. Honestly, I don’t use it – however, I don’t do any wireless charging for my iPhone. Maybe I’m paranoid, but I’ve never liked how wireless charging can make my iPhone get too hot.
Whether you want to power or charge something, the Advance330 will sit there waiting to be put into use – providing a simple and easy way to charge almost anything.
what do I like
- Size and weight for everyday use
- Protective socket cover
- Cool LED lights built into the handle
what would i change
- Socket cover may interfere with one-handed connections
final thoughts
The Togo Advance330 is a jack-of-all-trades powerhouse. It doesn’t do everything the best, but it does it well. It’s easy to use and easy to carry, while providing enough power to get you through any brief power outage or weekend camping trip. Sometimes, that’s all you need.
Oh, and it also has a small origami version. Lovely!
