review – If you have ever had the pleasure of riding a horse electric scooter Then you know how interesting they are. Not only are they fun to ride, but they’re a great means of transportation, especially if the distance you’re going seems to be too far to walk and isn’t worth the drive to that destination. Electric scooters are a great way to get around, especially in some big cities where they do rent scooters through a smartphone app. However, if you have your own electric scooter, such as the TurboAnt M10 commuter electric scooter, then you don’t have to bother renting one because you can always ride the M10 scooter. You can choose to use the TurboAnt M10 electric scooter as transportation to your destination, or ride it around.
What is it?
The TurboAnt M10 electric scooter is like a normal upright scooter with handlebars and a deck like a skateboard. But as the name suggests, the M10 is electric, not a manual scooter that you push with your feet. The M10 can travel 18 miles on a single charge and can reach a top speed of 20 MPH (32 km/h). Unlike smaller scooters, the M10 has larger air-filled tires for a smoother ride on a variety of surfaces, especially hard ones.

Design and Features
Since the TurboAnt M10 electric scooter uses an alloy metal frame, it has a solid, sturdy feel when riding. The M10 scooter weighs only 29.8 pounds. (13.5kg), so it’s not at all heavy to pick up and carry when folded. When folded, the clip on the handlebar post hooks onto a small section of the rear fender to lock and hold it in place.
After unfolding the handlebar and locking it in place, there was never any play and the handlebar stem never felt loose. The handlebar posts feel solid in the upright position. The locking lever mechanism on the post is sturdy and secure. I found it very easy to lock and unlock the handlebar stem thanks to the simple locking lever on the bottom of the handlebar stem. Additionally, there is an additional safety dial lock that you can twist to prevent accidental unlocking of the lever. The handlebar is not adjustable, so it only has one height, which means you’re stuck at the height it’s on. However, the height position of the handlebars seems to be sufficient for most users.
Moving on to the handlebars, the scooter’s finger throttle is on the front of the right handlebar, which I feel is perfectly positioned for my fingers to squeeze. The finger throttle is another component that feels solid because it’s a small moving part. It’s not obtrusive in any way, and it’s fairly easy to reach and squeeze. I found the finger throttle to be more ergonomic than the thumb throttle. I feel like the thumb throttle on the handlebar puts pressure on your hand when trying to push with your thumb instead of pulling with your fingers. To the left of the handlebar is the brake lever, which is much larger than the throttle. As a bigger lever, it’s easier and quicker to grab it when you actually need to use it. More on the brakes later.
There’s a little bike bell that you can put on the handlebars, which I think is a nice touch. I’d be happy to include the bell, but, I was thinking that since the scooter is electric, a small horn that might beep might be more appropriate. Also, I thought it would be nice to include a small, low-profile mirror on the handlebar so that the rider could easily check the rear while riding without having to turn around.
While the deck of the TurboAnt M10 Electric Scooter is wide, it’s not big enough to keep your feet side by side. If your shoes could fit the deck this way, you probably would, but it’s actually better and safer to put your feet in front of the other. You’ll have better balance when your feet are staggered apart. Also, it allows you to properly transfer your weight.
When riding this scooter, you can choose from three modes. There are Eco mode, Comfort mode and Sport mode.
In Eco mode, the scooter is slower, up to 6 mph. This is to get first-time users accustomed to riding the scooter and keeping the speed low. Next is Comfort mode, which is slightly faster, up to 9 MPH. In this mode, range and battery life are extended for more energy-efficient travel. Finally, Sport mode has higher speeds, up to 20 mph. According to the TurboAnt website, this mode “saves more time when you need to travel long distances.” For now, I just keep the scooter in Sport mode, as I’m not doing any energy-efficient trips. Plus, anyway, I found it fairly easy to control my speed with the throttle.
The TurboAnt M10 electric scooter has a maximum range of 18 miles. Remember that for maximum range you need to be in comfort mode as it allows you to use the battery more optimally. However, road conditions, terrain, weather, load and other factors can also affect battery life.smallDuring peak weather, the M10 Scooter is IP54 rated, so it’s only slightly water resistant, but should survive short periods of light rain riding.
You’ll want to make sure to pay attention to the battery status on the LED display, because you don’t want to go out for a ride and find yourself on a scooter with a dead battery. Even if you carry the charger with you, it takes five hours to fully charge the battery. It would be ideal to have an extra battery to swap out the dead, unfortunately the M10 Scooter doesn’t have a removable battery.
While this scooter doesn’t have any suspension, it does have 10-inch air-filled or air-filled rubber tires that give the scooter a smooth ride. I can add or subtract air from the tires if needed, which is great. These rubber tires really help when riding the scooter on a variety of surfaces and terrains. Riding on grass, branches, dirt, etc. is no problem. I found that when riding over speed bumps, cracks, and other imperfections on the road, the ride wasn’t difficult or bumpy thanks to the air-filled tires.
The TurboAnt website says the M10 has a dual braking system: a rear disc brake and an electronic braking system. Both are activated when the brake lever is applied. However, since the disc brake is visible, I can see it working, however, I can’t confirm the electronic brake as I can’t see it activated. But all I know is that the brakes seem to be doing fine when I pull the lever. You can change the tension of the brake lever just by knowing that the brake cable is adjustable. The brake cable tension seemed fine to me out of the box, so I just left it in place. I think I can test the electronic braking system by loosening the brake cable completely, but maybe I’ll do it another day.
Another thing to note is that there is a brake light on the rear fender that lights up when you hit the brakes. It’s a nice added safety feature, especially in those low-light conditions. In addition, there is an adjustable 2-watt LED headlight on the handlebar post for emergencies. The on/off switch for the headlights is located next to the display. And, you don’t have to put your scooter on the ground when you’re not riding it, the scooter has a handy stand on the scooter’s deck.
Next to the stand is the charging port for the battery. It has a rubber port cover that helps keep water and dust out of the charging port. After charging the battery, you may want to make sure the port is covered as you don’t want any water in the port that could cause any electrical issues or possibly rust inside the port.
Performance
One of the features I really like about this scooter is the cruise control. After accelerating, when you put your finger on the gas pedal for 6 seconds, the scooter will set the cruise control according to your driving speed. This is helpful when you have a long way ahead and you don’t want to keep squeezing the throttle with your fingers.
The TurboAnt M10 electric scooter is powered by a 350-watt motor on the rear wheel. Acceleration is steady rather than abrupt, so if I pull the trigger at full throttle, it feels like the scooter doesn’t launch from me. As long as you hold the handlebars, the scooter won’t leave you.
On smooth, flat surfaces, the M10 can hit 20 mph, but if I go up a significant incline, I can feel it struggle a bit and lose power. The M10 has a 15° climbing capability, so when you ride that slope or higher, the power and speed are reduced.
what do I like
- Pneumatic tires
- sturdy frame
- cruise control

final thoughts
I really enjoy riding the TurboAnt M10 electric scooter. Not only is the ride fun, it’s actually relaxing in some weird ASMR way. I guess there wasn’t a lot of traffic when I got the scooter out, so having your own path didn’t seem so stressful. Plus, the trail I’m on is new, the driveway is wide, and the area has great views. Would I feel the same way if I took the M10 Scooter into a city with heavy traffic? Maybe, but I think I’ll still have fun on this scooter, too.
With the M10 Scooter’s sturdy frame and its pneumatic tires, driving over surfaces shouldn’t be a problem. Using the trigger finger throttle, you can easily and comfortably drive the scooter at variable speeds up to 2o MPH. Although the M10 doesn’t have any suspension, pneumatic tires ensure a smooth ride. So whether you’re riding the M10 as a commuter scooter in the city, or on or near trails, the TurboAnt M10 commuter electric scooter is definitely a fun ride. Since the M10 Scooter doesn’t take up much space, you can store it in the trunk of your car and take it out for a ride when the feeling hits. Remember to always ride responsibly.
