In the future, users with a wide range of influence will be able to provide special content for a fee on Twitter. For three to ten dollars a month, fans can follow their idols. For a long time, Twitter has been looking for new sources of income.
DSMS service Twitter launched a paid subscription model. As announced by the online service, well-known users have been able to provide exclusive content for a fee since Wednesday. This feature can be used by influential people and musicians, as well as journalists and sports experts. The subscription fee should be three to ten dollars per month.
Twitter initially offered a new “Super Follow” feature in the United States and Canada. In the next few weeks, the proposal will be extended to other countries. The American Group initially charged 3% of subscription revenue as a fee. Starting from the threshold of US$50,000, the percentage increases to 20%.
SMS services are currently looking for new ways to develop new sources of revenue without the need for additional advertising. In Canada and Australia, the American company launched the “Twitter Blue” service in June, which provides users with additional features for a fee.
