UFC fighters are usually known for hitting and knocking down in an octagon, but sometimes they do the same thing outside the ring. In this case, the UFC welterweight star of Cuban origin, Jorge Masvidal, made some verbal choices for the former NFL quarterback.

UFC welterweight star Jorge Masvidal may have lost his last game in the octagonal cage, but his fighting spirit is still active.
On Friday, Masvidal called former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick a “coward” because Kaepernick wore a Fidel Castro T-shirt in 2016.
“Know your history and facts, cowards like this fool should be sent to live in Cuba and see what they say after a day there,” Masvidal wrote in a post to the UFC star’s Instagram post .
In 2016, Kaepernick wore a T-shirt depicting the meeting between Malcolm X and Castro. Under the photo of the two of them is written the phrase “Heart-Thinking”.
When asked about this shirt, Kaepernick praised Castro’s education system.
“One of the things Fidel Castro did is that they had the highest literacy rate because they invested more in the education system than in the prison system,” Kaepernick said. “We are here. We have not done so, although we are fully capable of doing it.”
Even if I agree with their position on current political issues, I usually don’t care too much about what the athletes say. They get paid for playing games, and if they are good at it, give them a thumbs up. They may not have time to follow all the crazy things happening in the world to make wise comments, and in the end, I really don’t care.
However, Kaepernick made himself a spokesperson for the “movement” by protesting and kneeling while playing the national anthem, because he felt that the country had treated him and others wrongly. I have zero problems with this.
However, if you want to be a spokesperson for any sport, and you wear a T-shirt with one of the most insulted and murderous thugs of this century, you need to be torn up. When you talk about some ridiculous nonsense about the Cuban education system, and they spend more on education than prison, you are too uncomfortable. You should not kneel, but lie down. You must have had a stroke.
Cuba is a police country, and they spend a lot of money to maintain the regime in power. The equalizer is that the entire country remains poor, except for one-half of one percent. If you line up, you will “re-educate” for free in Cuban prisons.
Of course, unless they kill you first.
The Cuban-American community in this country is still very united, and they hate anything that supports the Castro regime. The recent protests on this impoverished island have triggered a renewed push to change the way the United States treats its neighbors on the island, which is only 90 miles from our coast.
I have no doubt that Jorge Masvidal has heard how terrifying everyday life in Cuba is, and he is not in the mood to hear the nonsense of a spoiled privileged person at any time, he doesn’t know. What life means. The incredibly blessed people who grew up in this country will never really understand it.
Does the United States have problems in treating our citizens equally?
Yes it is.
Is it virtuous to maintain the Castro regime in any way?
Do not.
The biggest difference is that even if Colin lacks an understanding of the current state of the world (not what he hopes), he can still gain fame and wealth by virtue of his pitching ability. In Cuba, he would be told where to live, how to use the money they allowed him to have, and would never question the regime.
If he, as a Cuban citizen, tried to perform stunts like kneeling while playing the Cuban national anthem, he would not sign a Nike contract to celebrate. He will be buried and let the poor Cuban stand on his grave wearing old Nike shoes.
