Performance

After charging the camera for the first time, the next step is to download the Vacos Smart app and set up the camera. The process is very simple and only takes a few minutes to complete. After that, you can install the camera as needed, if you have a solar panel, you can also connect it. I requested and received the solar panels because I don’t want to climb up the ladder every few months to put the camera down to charge.

Here are some screenshots of the application:

This camera is very good at recognizing people’s movements and recording them immediately. It provides color video during the day and black and white video at night. In any case, the video is very clear and detailed.

Video shooting during the day:

Night video shooting:

(For reference only: the fence was installed during the test)
In general, this camera works well. The video and 2 channels of audio are very clear, and mobile notifications are very sensitive.

I really like that I can connect solar panels without worrying about charging. I do want the report in the app to be changed from battery power to solar power so that I can always confirm that the solar panel is connected.

what do I like

  • Build quality
  • Easy to install and set up
  • Very good video quality
  • Supported applications and options
  • Solar panel charging capacity

What will i change

    • The power connection method should be changed from battery to solar to confirm solar connection

Final thoughts

First of all, I must honestly state that I did not expect Vacos Cam thermal imaging cameras to perform above average. I have to admit that I was wrong. This camera is easy to install and set up, provides excellent features, and most importantly, provides excellent video. The ability to add a solar panel means that even if it is a battery-powered camera, I can “set it and forget it”. well done! !
