The video showed that Taliban militants opened fire to celebrate the U.S. withdrawal and occupied the Kabul airport, where thousands of Afghans flee desperately after occupying the country.
BBC News broadcast footage of gunshots, and chief international correspondent Lyse Doucet said she could hear celebratory tracer fires and gunfire. She said it was “a celebratory gunshot erupted in Kabul by Taliban supporters”.

Reuters report The Taliban took control of the airport before dawn on Tuesday, and celebratory gunfire broke out across Kabul.
