We spent a lot of time outdoors in Vermont. As the weather gets colder, in order to maintain warmth and comfort, all comfort layers are important. Toddlers may be very picky about the clothes they wear, so when I find something useful, I will stick to it! These are some of the best warm autumn clothes for toddlers and they are of high quality to keep your child warm.
coat
LL Bean Hi Pile fleece jacket – This is a cute and super comfortable sweater with a great hood (you can wear it all the time). It is very durable and washes well. I measured the dimensions for Marin (although I think its dimensions are correct). On cold days, all she needs is the thin layer below.
LL Doudou down jacket -When the weather is particularly cold, this is our preferred jacket (this is also her winter jacket). It has a comfortable fleece lining and a warm windshield. It runs at real size.
clothing
Organic Cotton Long Sleeve T-Shirt – I basically got long-sleeved T-shirts in various colors, stripe. It is very soft, high quality, thick organic cotton, so it is a warm enough coat. The size is right.
Velvet Leggings – These ribbed leggings are great. They are nice and thick, so they can keep Marin’s legs warm during cold adventures.
pajamas
Organic cotton pajamas -It is difficult to beat Hanna Andersson PJ. They are thick cotton cloth, super soft and high quality. When she doesn’t want to wear a sleeping bag, she sleeps in socks.
LL Peas Slippers -I just bought these for Marin about a week ago and she loves them. They roast very fragrantly and have a nice rubber sole at the bottom so she won’t slip.
Boots, hats and gloves
UGG Bolden boots – I bought these boots for Marin mainly because they have zippers, but they also have an elastic panel on one side, which makes them really easy to put on and take off. They must be very comfortable, because she likes to wear them! They are also waterproof. I think these might be a bit small, I got up to 6, they fit very well.
Skida Neck Guard – You may remember these from last year because I bought a few myself. They are the best neck protectors ever made. So warm, made in Vermont! They also make children’s styles, which are great for keeping warm when the weather is particularly cold.
Patagonia Fleece Hat – Marin grew up her baby size, so I bought her another one of this style. She wore this dress last fall and winter. Super soft and warm, not itchy, she (usually) keeps it.
phosphorusatagonia mittens – Comfortable fleece mittens with ribbed cuffs to keep them on top!
