The City of Waukesha has confirmed through its Twitter account that a man hit his Ford Escape onto a roadblock during the community Christmas parade on Sunday night and rushed onto the parade route, killing 5 people and injuring more than 40 others. However, officials pointed out that the number of dead/injured may change and the situation is unstable.
At present, we can confirm that 5 people have died and more than 40 people have been injured. However, as we gather more information, these numbers may change. Many people have been transported to regional hospitals by themselves. Relevant personnel are in custody at the police station.

Immediately after the incident, there were reports that law enforcement officers were looking for three suspects, but a tweet from the official city account stated that “the” relevant person had been detained.As Nick Alama reported earlier, The man is believed to be Darrell Brooks, a black man in his 30s who was released from the latest criminal charges on Friday, November 19.
The next press conference will be held at 1:00 PM local time on Monday.
