Sometimes I don’t feel like blogging anymore. There are days when I want to quit social media. No, not days, but months. Call it exhausting, frustrating, or because many of the local agencies, brands, and PR firms I’ve worked with would rather give paid gigs to influencers with so many followers because they would rather hype than sustainability and credibility. oops! Did I say it out loud, I think I did?
Regardless, I would like to thank APAC Insider, their nominations team and awards team for the 2023 Beauty and Lifestyle Blog Awards. Now my motivation is back, sort of.
Thank you for recognizing my hard work.
All I did was accept the nomination thinking I had nothing to lose. They (the nominating and awards team) didn’t ask me for anything. They didn’t ask me to post or get votes to win, they just wanted me to accept their nomination, and whether I deserved to win was up to their research team. I’m honored and happy to say that they picked me and I won! I won!
Thank you to the people and the universe who believe in me and my blog and especially thanks to strangers who give you points based on your credentials, credibility and sustainability, not just because you’re hyped, you get small group.
I am kind, I am just wronged.
Let’s wait for the plaque or whatever they say they’ll send and then let’s do an acceptance video or a walk.
