As our Dennis San Diego ReportOn Wednesday, when Republican candidate Larry Elder tried to visit a homeless camp in the Venice Beach area of Los Angeles, a woman wearing a gorilla mask threw an egg at him, campaigning in the Golden State governor’s recall election. The activity became violent. The woman also threw a fist at one of the elder’s bodyguards.

Watching Cagle’s original video, it appears that the woman quickly rode into the crowd, and then the bald man joined her. For those who have watched the video on Venice Beach in the past 18 months, this person looks familiar because he was involved in some video events.

Obviously, the symbolic meaning of someone wearing a gorilla mask and talking to a black running governor is not positive. And, if Elder is a Democrat, if it can be argued that the woman wearing the gorilla mask is a Republican and therefore a white supremacist (even though she may just be a terrible person), we all know how the news cycle will develop . It will include endless clips on MSNBC and CNN about the scourge of white supremacy and how despicable Republicans are. Spineless Republicans such as Ben Sasse and Adam Kinzinger would rack their brains in front of Jake Tapper, trying to keep their distance from all Republicans, and at the same time Said that all Republicans were complicit in this attack.
However, since Elder is a Republican, and because the media can say that the woman in the gorilla mask is either a drug addict or a mental patient (hence, the gorilla mask has no racial significance at all), most mainstream responding media and elected The Democrats have been…you guessed it…cricket.

The writers of the Los Angeles Times can only label themselves “hostile reception” after calling Larry Elder “the black face of white supremacy.” You know, Uncle Tom. Oh, he shortened his camp trip. Los Angeles news anchor Elex Michaelson of FOX Los Angeles was right, calling the attack “ugly and wrong.”

They also remind us that there is still a long way to go to deal with homelessness, addiction and mental health in Venice.

Elder Tell Phil Schumann of Fox Los Angeles He was not surprised by the anger he faced:
“I have been to a slum. People are depressed. People are angry.
“Many of them suffer from mental illness. They have been trained and taught. Any black person with an “R” at the end of their name is a villain… This is what the left did. They split the country.”
This is Elder’s magnanimity. Apparently many homeless people on the streets of Los Angeles are there because they suffer from untreated mental illness or drug addiction. Others are there because they arouse anger and prevent those with mental illness or drug addiction from receiving help (such as what happened at the Echo Park Lake camp in the city in early 2021), because there are more “nothings” on the street.
