If you like surprises and recycling, this may be ideal for you without even opening it. Of course, in addition to unboxing, the docking hub and device settings are very user-friendly. If you don’t count the connection to the transparent ramp, it’s almost plug and play. If the automatic emptying of the vacuum cleaner is not enough to attract the eye, this Yeedi device also offers you the option of mopping. Yeedi Vac Station is first a robot vacuum cleaner. It has a suction power of up to 3000Pa, floor type detection, visual SLAM mapping, up to 200 minutes of running time, and a newly added function: automatic emptying of the station.
As a mop, Yeedi brought a microfiber mop head and an accessory with an onboard water reservoir. This model also comes with a “smart wet mopping safety system” that can trigger the on/off sensor. My carpet is very grateful.
Out of the box, once the entire unit is assembled, it’s nice to see that the size is comparable to the competition. In fact, the size of this unit matches my first Roomba. What Roomba doesn’t have? After finishing all the settings, it’s time to see what Yeedi Vac Station can do. When I first used it, I chose the three options with the lowest suction power and let it do a complete sweep. I noticed three things that are very different from other robot vacuum cleaners I own. First of all, the mapping function of this unit is great. It will even display the map you mentioned in the app, which contains status messages and a small cartoon Yeedi Clean on the screen. 2. Changes in suction power; Yeedi will sense the carpets in two areas of my house and automatically change the suction power to the highest power when cleaning the area. mop
I want to mention the mop function because it is a newer option in Yeedi Vac Max. My biggest initial concern was that the device would mop all surfaces. If I didn’t run the vacuum cycle first, debris and floor space would make a mess on the floor and mop attachments. During my first mopping cycle, my worries were calmed down. Yeedi used the same sensor that found my carpet for higher suction cleaning, and used it to avoid the area while mopping, while also vacuuming. , So that mopping can be carried out unhindered. Yeedi even has a sensor that can use more or less water during mopping and can be changed through the app. I would describe mopping as more similar to a wet Swiffer. This is useful in dust and allergy seasons, but it cannot satisfy actual mop and bucket scenes. In addition, in order to run this function, you must connect different parts to the device for mopping after filling the water tank, and you need to remove it before charging the device.
