CNN did not break through one million viewers for a whole week – RedState

I can’t understand why the most trusted name in the news of CNN does not attract viewers.

Last week, CNN Unable to break through a million viewers For any of their shows. This includes their prime-time central figure Chris Cuomo, who frankly said Shouldn’t even be broadcast But despite this, he couldn’t even break this milestone, because everyone in the United States knew how much trouble his brother was in.

But it seems that their free fall is still going on, because Nielsen’s ratings from July 28 to August 3 show that none of the programs on the network caused much sensation. On the same day that the New York Attorney General gave up reporting on his older brother, Cuomo attracted approximately 930,000 viewers on his show.

Overall, the average number of viewers during prime time on the network is just over 850,000. If this situation is true, it means that CNN has lost about three-quarters of its audience since Donald Trump stepped down.

What might have happened?

Perhaps “the most trustworthy name in the news” is not so trustworthy. Since Trump left office, their focus has always been…well…Trump. In case they did not report the former president, as if he was the current president at a certain moment, they are busy reporting the most terrible information about COVID-19-given the terrible news from the CDC.

Maybe they are not as popular as they are now, because their anchor is completely dedicated to preaching rather than telling. When you have people like Brian Stelter, Cuomo, Jim Acosta, and Don Lemon constantly telling the audience what to think instead of simply reporting the news, most people tend to turn off the TV and go elsewhere to get information.

I think the problem is that when you really look at it, the American public does not like to be deceived. With Fox News (CNN can’t stop talking) and MSNBC, you can know in advance what you will get: partisan topics. The opinions on these networks show that it is doing quite well (Fox is even more so than MSNBC).

But CNN has told viewers for years that reporting news is objective and fair. It often exhibits partisanship with the Democratic Party, and people either realize that this is not what they believe, or they can do better from MSNBC. So they are leaving.

No flattery of Trump or January 6 will keep them. No amount of pornography about the fear of the next deadly COVID variant can convince them to get news from CNN. When they don’t hold compromised anchors accountable for their actions (for example, if one of their anchors provides talking points to their famous politician siblings to quell sexual harassment scandals), they don’t understand why they should trust a network like that .

If you want the talking points of the Democratic Party, check out MSNBC. If you want direct news, please read the local newspaper or watch the local news at 5 o’clock. CNN is not what you are looking for, and given their ratings, other parts of the United States also know this.
