Review – When I was typing, it was August in southern Indiana, and this is where Gadgeteer’s headquarters are located. This means it is hot and humid. This also means that my air conditioner runs a lot, and sometimes it feels sultry in the house. Apart from running AC 24/7 (which is not a good idea), are there other ways to reduce the humidity in your home? This is the job of the dehumidifier, and today I want to show you the Colaze dehumidifier. let’s see.
What is it?
The Colaze dehumidifier is a small desktop-sized device that absorbs moisture from the air and helps remove moisture in the home.
What’s in the box?

- Coke dehumidifier
- AC adaptor
- manual
Design and features

If you are a frequent visitor to The Gadgeteer (thank you!) and this dehumidifier is familiar to you, you will not be able to imagine it.That’s because it is related to Ophir dehumidifier Julian reviewed it last week. When I opened the Colaze box, my first thought was DARNIT, because I knew I had to write a review on something we had already reviewed. But after careful inspection, I found that they look very similar, but not exactly the same. One major difference between Colaze and ORFELD is that it is not equipped with the small wireless dehumidifier that comes with ORFELD.
Having said that, let’s continue to talk about Coke dehumidifiers. First, it is 10.5 inches high and 5.7 inches wide. It has a white plastic shell with a vent on the top and three control buttons that allow you to switch fan speed, power, and LED lighting effects.

On the right is the power port, I found its location very strange. I would rather see the power port on the back of the device, just to prevent the power cord from showing up when it is on the table or floor.

There is a water tank and a removable dust cover above the air inlet on the back of the device.

If you need to clean the grill, the lid will break.

When it needs to be emptied, the transparent plastic water tank slides out from the bottom of the dehumidifier.

The lid is only placed on the top of the water tank, so it is easy to remove.
The water tank can hold 47-50 ounces (1380-1500 milliliters) of water. When the water tank is full of water, the Colaze dehumidifier will automatically shut down, and the LED on the base will emit a red light to remind you that the water tank needs to be emptied.
When the water tank is not full, the built-in LED of the device will cycle through 7 colors to provide you with a light show. If you don’t like riding a bicycle, you can freeze it in a specific color or turn off the lights completely.
How do you use it?
Basically, all you have to do is to plug it in and let it run. The internal fan will draw air into the equipment, and the moisture in the air will turn into water vapor, which is then discharged into the water tank of the dehumidifier.

In my first test, I tested a Coke dehumidifier on the main floor of my 1,800-square-foot house. The weather was super humid that day, as evidenced by the fog on the windows.
I ran it on the main level for 24 hours, and it only drew about half an inch of water from the bottom of the tank until I poured it into the measuring cup. It’s about 10 ounces.

I moved Colaze to my basement, where I installed a digital thermometer and hygrometer on my wall. After Colaze operated continuously for 24 hours, there was 10 ounces of water at the bottom of the water tank, and the humidity level on the digital meter dropped by only 1%.
I have never tried a full-size dehumidifier in this house, so I don’t know if Colaze works well. But it does pump about 10 ounces of water from the air every 24 hours, so…
See it in action
what do I like
- Easy to use
- No app or wireless network required!
- Visual alert when the water tank needs to be emptied
What will i change
- I want it to be quieter on high speed
- Just be able to turn off the lighting effect completely
Final thoughts

Colaze dehumidifiers are designed to absorb moisture from the air. This is a small unit, ideal for small spaces of 480 square feet or less. From my limited testing, I found that the working principle of the Colaze dehumidifier is consistent with the description.
