U.S. citizens should “leave immediately” the areas near the monastery gate, east gate, and north gate. Britain is also warning its citizens. There is a “high risk of terrorist attack” at the airport.

For security reasons, the U.S. Embassy in Kabul has advised U.S. citizens not to go airport Came to the capital of Afghanistan. On Thursday night, the embassy warned that there was a dangerous situation at the airport gate. “U.S. citizens currently at the Abbey Gate, East Gate or North Gate should leave the area immediately,” it said.

Exceptions can be made only if there are individual instructions from US government officials. The German Embassy had previously warned of shootings and terrorist attacks at Kabul Airport.

Because of the risk of attack, the United Kingdom also urged citizens staying in Afghanistan to stay away from Kabul Airport. The website of the British Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated on Wednesday: “If you are at the airport, please move to a safe place and wait for further information.” There are “continuous, high-risk terrorist attacks”.
