Lee Peacock: Westminster double murder suspect charged with killing his partner

An ex-partner of a woman who was found to have died of a suspected substitute murder exist Westminster Has been remanded awaiting trial Old Bailey.

Peacock’s partner, Ms. Pickles, 45, was found dead in the bedroom of her home on Ashbridge Street at 9.30pm on August 19, after people expressed concerns about her welfare.

A few hours later, at 2:15 am on August 20, the London Ambulance Service called officers to the second property on Jerome Crescent, about half a mile away, where they found Mr. Ashmore, 59, who He was also pronounced dead at the scene.

The peacock from Harrow Road, west London, appeared in Old Bailey via HMP Thameside’s video link this morning.

He was wearing a green jersey distributed by the prison, spoke only to confirm his identity, and sat with his arms crossed for most of the 15-minute hearing.

“He faces two murder charges,” prosecutor Joel Smith said, confirming that Ms. Pickles was “the defendant’s partner.”

The court heard that both victims had died from neck injuries and that Peacock himself was injured when he was arrested on a canal barge in Ealing last Wednesday.

Peacock made no request on Wednesday. He was remanded by Judge Mark Lucraft QC, the London recorder, until the hearing on November 12.

The trial date has not yet been determined.
