Realme GT 2 Pro was launched in China and is their highest-quality flagship phone to date.UK/EU coming soon

Sharing is caring!

We already know a lot about the new Realme GT 2 Pro, Has now been officially launched in China.

Realme GT 2 Pro seems to be Realme’s first attempt to target the ladder with their flagship phone. The original Realme GT was great, but its attractive price made it stand out.

This year, they have carried out a major upgrade to the mobile phone, with a number of advanced features and a general-generation chipset upgrade.

The first is the display. It is significantly larger at 6.7 inches, but they also use a new 120Hz LTPO2 AMOLED display with a running resolution of 3216 x 1440 and a peak brightness of 1400 nits, which should be comparable to some of the best displays on the market compete.

Then the camera got a little upgrade, which may be the weakest point of the original Realme GT.

You now have a 50MP main IMX766 flagship sensor with full-pixel omnidirectional PDAF and OIS capabilities.

In addition, the world’s first 150-degree ultra-wide-angle camera to capture the ultimate panorama is completed by a 50MP Samsung JN1 sensor, combined with the world’s first fisheye mode.

Then they have a 40X micro lens camera that can take extreme close-ups, adding to an impressive camera lineup.

They also upgraded the battery to healthy 5000mAh and 4500mAh.

From the specifications, the only difference I can see between this phone and high-end flagship phones over £900 is the lack of a telephoto lens, no wireless charging, and no IP rating.

Last year Realme did not launch a Pro version, so it is difficult to compare prices, but this new model that focuses on high-end is more expensive.

Realme GT 2 Pro entry-level 8/128GB starts at 3,899 yuan (453.63 GBP/613 USD)

The original Realme GT was launched at a price of RMB 2,799 (£325), and was later launched in the European Union at a price of £385.

Realme will also launch a non-professional version of Realme GT2 that is very similar to the original Realme GT, using the same Snapdragon 888 chipset, but with the following improvements:

  • Slightly larger 6.62-inch display
  • Upgrade to 50MP IMX766 main camera with OIS
  • Increase the battery to 5000mAh
