ABC’s George Stephanopoulos asked National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan about providing assistance to the Taliban.
After we just ended the battle with them, you would think that at this time, this would be a ridiculous question.
But obviously, this is not too much for Sullivan.
What’s new: Jack Sullivan, Biden’s national security adviser, said that the United States may directly provide aid and economic assistance to the Taliban pic.twitter.com/sb4dzpTzxx

Sullivan said that they indeed intend to continue to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people through non-governmental organizations. But the Taliban now controls everything, including banks, so I won’t bet that all the money that goes to NGOs will go to them and/or stay with them and eventually to the people. Sullivan also stated that other types of cash/aid-economic and development assistance-will depend on “the actions of the Taliban” and whether they “fulfill their commitments and their commitments to the safe passage of Americans and Afghan allies.” He said it depends on whether they are committed to preventing Afghanistan from becoming a safe haven for terrorists. This is a delusion: it is already a safe haven for terrorism. The Taliban themselves are terrorists. Not to mention all ISIS-K, al-Qaeda and Haqqani. But more importantly-what did he just say? Because it certainly sounds like he said that if Americans and Afghan allies still trapped in Afghanistan are allowed to leave, they will get money. Sounds like a slow hostage transaction, did we just hear about the bribe?
So let’s take a look.US Leave our people and allies who need to leave there. We have left the Taliban with billions of dollars worth of equipment through the Afghan army, and they can now use this equipment for terrorism or to oppress the people. But now the people in Biden may want to invest more money in these roles to keep them in power? The Taliban can also support them, saying they have Americans.
Biden’s people didn’t joke when talking about aid, either. According to Newsmax.
A Treasury official told Reuters that after the Taliban, blacklisted by Washington, seized control of the country this month, the United States last week issued a permit authorizing it and its partners to continue humanitarian assistance in Afghanistan. Assistance is provided to facilitate.
Although the United States imposed sanctions on the Taliban, a specific license issued by the Treasury Department last Wednesday authorized the U.S. government and its contractors to support the provision of humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people, including the delivery of food and medicine.
Therefore, in all the crazy incidents last week, they authorized the license to provide assistance to circumvent sanctions. Although it may not directly target the Taliban, it will at least play a temporary role in supporting the economy so that people will not get up and drive the Taliban out. Therefore, even if we say that this is “for the people”, it has a complementary role in helping the Taliban.
Afghanistan has long been one of the world’s largest recipients of foreign aid, and the Taliban may rely on continuous aid to maintain basic services.
The White House stated that since 2002, the United States has invested 36 billion U.S. dollars in civil aid, of which 787 million U.S. dollars is dedicated to supporting Afghan women and girls, and nearly 3.9 billion U.S. dollars in humanitarian aid has been provided to Afghanistan.
According to data from the regulatory organization OpenThe Books.com, between 2013 and 2018, nearly $300 billion in funds from U.S. taxpayers went to other countries as aid.
Joe Biden once again put us in a box where we might see “piles of cash” and hostage negotiations with terrorists. Heck, Sullivan said that they get the money depending on whether they let people out-he really said so. At the same time, the Taliban is holding a mock funeral for us in the country, Parade with coffins with American flags. We are clearly living in a very distorted situation now-Joe Biden is in charge.
Trading financial aid for Americans to return home safely is actually paying a ransom to terrorists. https://t.co/n3hePKxGos
