Review – There was a time when a group of people would gather to watch a party in the same place. Although this hasn’t happened for a while, things seem to have returned to that direction recently. In order to provide an entertainment center, Artsea released a projector that you may want to consider for large-scale productions. This is their model W25, I was sent to test it.
what is it?
The Artsea W25 projector is a lightweight 1080p projector with multiple wired and wireless inputs and audio outputs.

- Artsea W25 projector

Design and features
The Artsea W25 projector is quite compact, measuring 9.5” x 7.5” x 3.5”. It weighs only 3 pounds and 10 ounces (without cables). The side with the lens has a 2.75-inch opening with a close-fitting lens Cover. Immediately behind the top lens opening is the focus wheel and the slider for keystone correction. (This will only adjust the image vertically. If your projector is off-center, you can make the horizontal adjustment yourself!)
Set up
Turn on the Artsea W25 projector and you will see a settings screen with icons and directions to guide you to connect to your preferred video source.
which performed
The projector lights up and is visible under the bright LED lights in my room. The screen pictures in this review were all taken under ceiling lights. When they are opened, this room looks like daytime.
It is very easy to connect my iPhone (11 Pro Max) to the Artsea W25 projector, but I cannot play any media through the wifi link. I also easily connect the projector directly to the Wifi (use the remote scroll wheel to enter my 21-character password-yuk!).
This makes the projector appear on my HomeKit network like another AppleTV, but it still never connects. The “Waiting for connection” box will float on the screen.
I also tried the “Use your charger cable” option. This caused the video on my iPhone to fail to load. I can let it play normally, then plug in the Apple charging cable, the video will stop and never appear on the screen.
The only way I can send images to the Artsea W25 projector is to plug in the Apple Digital Media Adapter (this is an Apple part that I happen to have and is not included in this product) and connect it to the projector with an HDMI cable. This quickly reflects the screen, and there are no lag or synchronization issues.
When I finally played the video through the Artsea W25 projector, the sound was also played through the projector. (Thanks, HDMI!) Although the speakers are suitable for people sitting in the same room, if you are outdoors or in a large room, you will want to use larger speakers. There is a 0.125 inch jack to connect speakers, or, if you need RCA output, you can use the included breakout cable.
what do I like
- Turn on almost instantly
- Bright and clear images, even with a lot of ambient light
- Input is easy to access
What will i change
- Other input methods should work
- Digital 4-channel keystone correction will be good
- A suitcase or dust bag
Final thoughts
I am very impressed with the startup speed, image brightness and build quality. It takes some work to connect the software/firmware of various ports/systems. However, if you are willing to use an HDMI cable, the Artsea W25 projector can play it well.
