Over the years, Joe Biden has told a lot of stories, most of them to inflate himself, some of which have little to do with reality.
But one of the stories he tells does have a certain relationship with reality—that is, the story of having to take a helicopter to land in the forests of Afghanistan in 2008. He often tells this story to increase what he calls the Foreign Policy Evidence Office during the campaign.
“If you want to know where Al Qaeda lives, you want to know where [Osama] Bin Laden is, come back to Afghanistan with me,” he said during the October campaign, just a few months after the rescue operation in February. “Back to the area where my helicopter was forced to land… In the middle of those mountains. I can tell you where they are. “
Now, Joe is Joe, and there is swelling there-they are not completely close to Al Qaeda, their helicopter was “forcibly shot down” by the blizzard, not because of any enemy actions. Mohammed came out with members of the 82nd Airborne Division and three Blackwater SUVs from Bagram Air Force Base and drove for several hours through the snowstorm to provide assistance. Once he gets there, he helps defend against any local people until the army can drive the Black Hawk out of there. Thanks to Muhammad and others, Joe Biden left there safely.

But now, after many years of helping the United States-even Biden himself, Muhammad and his four children are trapped in hiding from the Taliban.
“Hello, Mr. President: Save me and my family,” Mohammed told the Wall Street Journal when the Americans withdrew from the army. “Don’t forget that I am here… I can’t leave my house… I am scared.”
“His selfless service to our soldiers is exactly the kind of service I want more Americans to show,” Lieutenant Colonel Andrew R. Till wrote in June in support of Muhammad’s special immigrant visa application.
Muhammad’s visa application was in trouble after the defense contractor he worked for lost the records he needed to apply for. Then, the Taliban occupied Kabul on August 15. Like thousands of others, Mohammed went to the Kabul airport gate to try his luck, but was rejected by the US military. Muhammad could enter, they told him, but he could not enter his wife or their children.
The veterans called lawmakers and made terrible appeals to American officials for help. “If you can only help one Afghan, please choose [Mohammed]”, wrote Sean O’Brien, an Army veteran who worked with him in Afghanistan in 2008. “He deserves it. “
A White House official declined to comment, saying that for confidentiality reasons, the government was unable to discuss individual cases.

This may be anti-social, but it is certainly not empathy. This is the real Joe Biden. Let us hope that Muhammad can get help to get out. Because the person he saved has left him, tall and dry.
