Things will only get worse from there. After another attempt to shift responsibility for his failure to discredit the Afghan people, Biden then let it rip apart the Americans who are now trapped in Afghanistan. I can’t think of anything more disgusting than accusing American citizens of being controlled by the Taliban because their own government abandoned them. As recently as July, the President also claimed that the Afghan government will control the Taliban, and the Taliban does not have the ability to cause much damage. This is why people stay. They believed Biden’s lies about the local situation, and he lied to cover his tail. Now he blamed them for being left behind. If there is a “hoo boy” moment, that’s it.
