information -Electricity is overestimated. Long before electricity was used, nature figured out how to emit light through bioluminescence. Bioluminescence (lighting) is produced by a chemical reaction called chemiluminescence, which is the natural defense mechanism of many marine organisms.
The people at IFLScience recently released stacksocial’s offer for Bio-Orb, a bioluminescent bulb filled with PyroDinos. From their website:
Bio-Orb produces natural light (bioluminescence) when it is gently rotated at night. When it sits on this beautiful metal octopus stand, it looks better. Bio-Orb cargo should be opened upon arrival, and PyroDinos (live algae) should be placed in a location that receives low to medium light during the day.
