After Joe Biden, Secretary of State Anthony Brinken was finally two hours late and talked about the United States leaving Afghanistan today after twenty years.
He talked about how they will now establish diplomatic operations in Doha, Qatar instead of Kabul.
Just came in: seconds. Secretary of State Anthony Brinken announced that US diplomatic operations have moved from Kabul to Doha, Qatar. https://t.co/UH8x9J4m4O pic.twitter.com/ZS63aqNYZS

He claimed that a new “diplomatic mission” had begun.
Brinken then claimed that a new international consensus had been reached and that the United States would hold the Taliban accountable to allow people to leave freedom of movement.
This is the talk of the think tank, university faculty lounge-like, so out of touch with reality. The idea that the Taliban would listen and be afraid of all these diplomatic efforts, pressure from the United Nations, etc. is ridiculous.

We didn’t even do this for the Americans at the airport, and when we had the army there, they were just outside the gate. If there is no army, how can we guarantee anything? Why would the Taliban care about this?
He said that the Taliban promised that they would not become a safe haven for terrorists, because they are already terrorists themselves and are now a safe haven, thanks to Joe Biden.
This is just a delusion, because Brinken talks about the Taliban’s fulfillment of international commitments.
Say it again, it’s ridiculous. I’m sure the Taliban are shaking in their boots. 🙄 pic.twitter.com/8ehX9fM5KK

But then Brinken admitted that they had left the Americans in Afghanistan, even though Joe Biden promised to let everyone leave before they left.He tried to downplay it and gave a lower number than General Frank McKenzie Who said “only a few hundred”. Brinken said less than 200, close to one hundred.
Brinken talked about the Americans being left behind and added that he did not know how many people were left: “We have made extraordinary efforts to give Americans a chance to leave this country… We believe there are still a few Americans… we are trying to determine how much it is.” pic.twitter.com/59G0NpPJCD

I have reported more than this number I only know a few cases I believe there is more.
Although Biden promised to let everyone leave, Brinken ended his speech and left without answering any questions, including a question about leaving the Americans.

This is what they think of us. This is how little we value them.
Even CNN’s Jim Sciutto can’t believe it.
You have to answer reporters’ questions after the speech, at a moment like this. https://t.co/yxyLeLMW67

Fox’s Jen Griffin stated that Blinken appeared to have been providing “hostage videos” in his statement. Unfortunately, due to the Brinken and Biden team, we may see actual hostage videos in the near future. But she then only reported on a group of Americans still trapped in Afghanistan. She read the text of Signal.
Fox News reported that Americans, including children, were “completely abandoned” by Joe Biden after multiple attempts to enter Kabul Airport. pic.twitter.com/xyEl7ZgOuJ

“I have a 2-year-old American with lupus, I have a 12-year-old American with diabetes, and I have an 8-year-old asthma green card-abandoned by their government, but we don’t have it,” the text from a Group reading to help the children try to go out.
Add to that hundreds, if not thousands, between Americans and Afghan allies-completely abandoned by Joe Biden. Biden didn’t even bother to speak in person today, instead sending Blincoln and MacKenzie out. He won’t speak in person until tomorrow. It should have passed his nap time.
