How will the Biden team clean up and leave Kabul before August 31, while thousands of Americans and allies are still on the ground and at the mercy of the Taliban?
Reduce the numbers.
Suddenly, after telling us that they really didn’t know the number of Americans and estimated a higher number, Secretary of State Antony Blinken was suddenly talking about the actual numbers and saying that they actually didn’t know how many Americans were riding. The flight really only needs to come out from 500 to 1500.
According to seconds. On August 14, there were approximately 6,000 Americans in Afghanistan.
Since then, 4,500 people have been evacuated.
He said that the remaining number of people who want to leave the country must be 500, and they are checking the status of the remaining 1,000 people. pic.twitter.com/QGspUlennw

Even Justin Barragona of the Daily Beast questioned this new number.
When Kabul was taken over by the Taliban, there were 6,000 Americans in Afghanistan, which is significantly lower than the 10,000 to 15,000 previously estimated by government officials.https://t.co/0N7UV09J1S https://t.co/EvpcWNG49w

Given that they lied again and again during this disaster, is this reduced number even a real number?
Earlier today, a source from the State Department stated that the remaining number was 4,100.
🚨New news: A source told me that representatives from the National Security Council, the State Department and the Joint Staff said on the Senate conference call that about 4,100 Americans are still in Afghanistan
*** The informant warned that the number will fluctuate because some people decide to stay in the country for various reasons. So far, approximately 4,500 people have been evacuated.-Jacqui Heinrich (@JacquiHeinrich) August 25, 2021
But then they withdrew that number and said that Blinken would tell the exact number.
The State Department now tells me that the 4100 number of BRIER MISSPOKE in this call is not accurate.
The state government did not provide an accurate figure, Blinken said it will explain this later. https://t.co/fYV9aDVScU

Bottom line? They don’t know, the left hand doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. They only know that they are not “trapped” and they will create a achievable number so they can say that they let everyone who “want to leave” leave. Then they will blame anyone who left for not responding to them and declare all this as “success.” Of course, the question will be how they will tell what happened to the Americans left behind. There is no sign that they have made serious efforts to reach people outside of Kabul.
Of course, this has not even begun to resolve the thousands of allies and their families who are still stranded. Apparently, they have not even evacuated the staff of the local embassy.
Brinken told the local Afghan staff employed by the U.S. Embassy: “Like American citizens, as Secretary of State, there is nothing more important to me than having people working at the embassy do the right thing.”
Said he was “relentlessly focused” on keeping them safe
