Imagine you are an inventor. You spent many years of your time and hard work. There are still a lot of dollars—your and borrowed.
You finally managed to create something from nothing. This is a literal miracle. A gift from God-he himself is a great creator.
Your invention will improve the lives of nearly 8 billion people on the planet. So when you and your invention make money, you and your invention make the lives of nearly 8 billion people better. This is a typical win-win win-win…
This is why intellectual property (IP) creation is a typical example of how and why capitalism works. The increase in the status of inventors has also improved the status of everyone else on God’s earth.
But to make all these magical things happen—to make all the effort and expenditure worthwhile—you must be able to protect your invention. This is where strong intellectual property protection comes in.
Inventors must know that the patents, trademarks and copyrights they obtain from the government are absolutely reliable.
Investors of inventors also need to know this-otherwise there would be no investors of inventors.
If there is no confidence in the security of IP, the entire system will collapse. No one’s life has improved. In fact, everyone’s life will quickly deteriorate.
Many people in DC don’t seem to care about this.
Anti-intellectual property rights may be the shortest-sighted group in human history. DC contains many short-sighted people.
That is: DC is Nearly 30 trillion U.S. dollars in debtThe Democrats just proposed spending We don’t have $3.5 trillion on the fake “infrastructure” bill -Bribery of some votes in next year’s election. Very short-sighted.
DC has been working on large-scale IP destruction for the past ten years or so.
And, of course, all of this has an integral part of mass messaging. Many DC “think tanks” and many other messengers are making up stories about the height of IP.
That is: Born to be a ridiculous lie-just like a “patent troll”.
When the media reports “patent hooligans”-think about “people protect their private property”
“Anti-intellectual property fanatics disguised their patent’troll’ movement as’litigation reform’-because if they open up and admit that they want to stifle intellectual property protection, almost no one will support them….
“No matter how disguised and disguised this patent’reform’… it will only fundamentally undermine a key component of our free market economy.
“The proponents of the patent’reform’ won’t care too much. For them, this’failure’ is not an error-it is a function.”
Born to be such an absurd thing:
The debate on “patent quality” returns to Capitol Hill:
“(L) Last month, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Chairman of the Intellectual Property Subcommittee of the Senate Judiciary Committee, held a hearing called “Protecting Genuine Innovation by Improving Patent Quality.”
“In a press release, Leahy announced that the’hearing [would] Explore the root causes of why low-quality patents are issued, the harm they may cause to the wider public, and the benefits of certainty, because the inventor knows that the quality of patents will be good when they are issued.
When DC talks about “patent quality”-grab your patent and wallet.
The only benefit of elected officials turning what should be short-term jobs into endless lifelong luxury items is that we can go back to the past of their governments.
Remember the terrible “American Inventions Act” mentioned earlier? Well, its full name is actually…
Leahy-Smith American Inventions Act:
“Named after its main sponsor, Senator Patrick Leahy (D-VT)…”
Therefore, he may be the principal sponsor of the worst anti-patent legislation in a century-now leading the definition of “patent quality” in DC.
During these ten years, does Leahy understand how bad his “iconic” legislation is for intellectual property and its creators? Heaven no:
“Leahy previously used patent quality issues as a hammer and criticized the Donald Trump administration in April for’taking measures to undermine the Leahy-Smith Act…'”
Premeditated by heaven. Why does the Trump administration want to find a way to mitigate the damage caused by Leahy’s legislation?
Thank God: Another terrible Obama legacy project gave Trump a face-lift:
“‘(T) He is the new director of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) (yes) Andrei Iancu. He has begun to bring much-needed revitalization to the US patent system.
“‘Shortly after taking office in the Patent Office, Director Iancu gave a speech and he warned, “Our patent system is at a crossroads. “He said that for many years, “our system has been pushed around and poked and poked. As a result, the reliability of patents granted today is not as reliable as the system it should be. “
“‘He issued a warning: “As a country, if we want to maintain our global economic leadership, we cannot continue along the same path. We will not continue to follow the same path. “
“‘On the contrary, the new PTO director vowed to improve the reliability of patent grants while continuing to improve the quality of patents. His words and deeds are consistent.'”
Why would anyone object?
Of course, unless you are totally opposed to IP.
Many residents of DC are.
Will they admit it directly-or hide it behind dishonest phrases like “troll” and “quality”.
