Review – The wall charger market now includes GaN devices that are small, powerful, and can quickly charge compatible devices. The Charger Harbor SAIL01 65W PPS GaN power transmission wall charger and the accompanying cable can charge mobile phones and power laptops. I have one to review. Please read on to find out what I think!
What is it?
The SAIL01 wall charger has two USB-C power ports, the output of which depends on the number of devices being powered. When powering only one device, the charger can output up to 65W of power to Power Delivery (PD) compatible devices. The device can also use a programmable power supply (PPS) via USB-C 2, allowing you to charge the Samsung Galaxy S20 or Galaxy S21 with up to 25W. When powering two ports at the same time, the maximum power of the high-voltage port is 45W, and the maximum power of the low-voltage port is 18W to 20W. In addition to fast charging, the charger also uses gallium nitride (GaN) semiconductors. Compared with silicon semiconductors, these devices can withstand higher voltages and higher temperatures, so higher power chargers with more compact sizes and relatively lower operating temperatures can be built.

The Charger Harbor SAIL01 65W PPS GaN Power Delivery wall charger comes with a USB-C to USB-C cable and is attached to the retail display box, which includes specifications and a lot of information printed on the outside of the box.

The Charger Harbor SAIL01 65W PPS GaN Power Delivery wall charger is about the same size as many other wall chargers today, but the output is higher than the typical output. The charger feels very sturdy and dense, without any gaps in the plastic. The size of the device is 2 inches square and 1 inch high. The edges on the sides of the unit are rounded. The edge on the plug side has a narrow chamfer, and the edge on the port side is a wider chamfer, surrounding a circular inset.
The device has built-in overvoltage, overheating and short circuit protection functions. Devices sold in markets that support NEMA 1-15 2 Pin standards (Canada, China, Japan, Mexico, Taiwan, and the United States) use a folding double-pin design, making the device very compact.
There is a slot on the plug side to accommodate international chargers, but these are not included with the product, and they are obviously not sold separately.widthWhen the prongs are stored, they will not extend out of the device at all.
There are two USB-C ports about 1/2 inch apart on the front of the device. There is no status light to indicate that the charger is supplying power. Other chargers available on Amazon have 3 ports (2 USB C and 1 USB A), a status indicator and an international adapter, but no USB C to USB C cable.
The charger is wrapped in off-white matte plastic. The plastic around the outlet side is shiny.

The size of the device is comparable to many other 65W GaN chargers offered by Amazon or other retailers.
The front C port grabbed and connected to the various C cables I could use. The clip in the socket seems to hold the plug in place very well. The electrical design of other chargers allows each port to charge the device equivalently. The difference between this charger is that it has a port that is mainly high-voltage and another port that is mainly low-voltage. This design requires that the device must be plugged into certain ports to obtain the required power. The charger has a programmable power supply (PPS) ultra-fast charging function, which can charge Samsung Galaxy S20 and Galaxy S21 with 25W power through USB-C 2.
The cable that comes with the charger is also off-white plastic, with the Charger Harbor logo printed on both ends. The specified capacity is 100W, but the capacity of the USB cable is not stated.
Operation
The operation is very simple, as easy to use as a typical wall charger. The charger will get hot under constant load, but not too hot to handle. There is no output or current load indication. The adapter will automatically adjust the output according to the connected device and the charging protocol it communicates with the adapter when it is plugged in.
Performance
Charger Harbor SAIL01 65W PPS GaN Power Delivery wall charger is basically a power conversion device. I use a USB load and tester to verify the operation of the USB port. I tested the power output as high as the load tester, but below the maximum output of the charger. I also used the adapter to charge the iPad Air 4th Gen, but there is no second beep, so I am not sure if it charges quickly. I charged the iPhone XR to about 50% within half an hour, which shows that the charger can charge 20 W. I also verified that the adapter uses Qualcomm Quick Charge to quickly charge my Android. I did not hear any resonance or hissing from any internal components.

Final thoughts
As the number of rechargeable and plug-in electronic devices continues to increase, it seems that there will never be enough wall chargers to keep everything running. The device’s small size and convenience are exactly what devices requiring up to 65W of charging require. Some chargers are the same size and cost, but have more ports, ports with the same voltage capability, indicator lights and international adapters, but do not come with a 100W USB-C to USB-C cable.
