Our weekly recognition of journalism’s poor performance deserves Pulitzer’s consideration.
As an extension of Townhall’s media mockery, Steal from the headlines, We once again recognize our excellent performance in journalism and submit valuable submissions to the Pulitzer Prize committee in many categories. In order to correctly identify the low watermarks in the media, let us directly understand the latest examples of unremarkable news.
Outstanding public service
- Peter Wade– Rolling Stone Magazine
The big news this weekend was how music magazines sparked a flood of news reports about patients in Oklahoma hospitals who were poisoned by ivermectin drugs. The moving part is the details of the gunshot victims who were forced to wait in the parking lot due to lack of beds and ambulance services, which were consumed by patients with ivermectin.
The best aspect of this debunked fable is that the magazine must make a second correction to this baseless news. Taking into account the reported wave of cases into the emergency room, the magazine declared, “Rolling Stone has been unable to independently verify any This situation…”
Obviously, something needs to be explained to Daniel Dale and others-saying that conservative media should also be blamed, ignoring Rolling Stone’s admission that it has found zero cases, despite its demands.

Outstanding explanatory report
You might understand the conflict between some journalists enjoying America’s return to normalcy and having to condemn those who enjoy freedom like a conceited opponent. Chris Siriza has actually gotten rid of the paradox this weekend.
Although it is always surprising to see reporters taking positions that are contrary to their previous positions on the same topic, Chris Cillizza only took this to a new level. CNN’s star reporter managed to show the worst and best explanation of the incident in about a day.
Cillizza reposted an article by Politico, detailing how the country is fighting COVID due to all mass public gatherings and social events. Serious things, and signs of Chris taking a sober attitude towards the pandemic. Again, he also showed how great it was to see a large audience in the University of Wisconsin football game against Penn State— There were only five tweets before his timeline. This is indeed the best time and the worst time.

Outstanding international coverage

It may be difficult to understand how many problematic forces the Taliban have in Afghanistan. Considering suicide bombings, street assassinations, door-to-door hunts for dissidents, and the overall terror they cause to the population, your assessment of the new leadership may be vague.
Well, Hill is here to convey a message from the State Department about how evil this group might be-they just aren’t sober enough!
The US State Department expressed concern on Tuesday about the composition of the new Afghan interim government announced by the Taliban, including the lack of female leaders and the past behavior of some people appointed to senior positions. A spokesperson added: “We have made it clear that we expect the Afghan people to have an inclusive government.”

Outstanding National Report
Entering the core of the COVID social dilemma, John Berman talked about 14-year-old Fiona Downey and her mother on CNN’s morning show “A New Day.” The Vermont student was interviewed because CNN believes that her stance on cover-up and vaccination is very sharp and vital to the dwindling audience this morning.
The young Fiona is changing his mind and changing the unvaccinated population. There were anti-masked protesters near her school, and she participated in the debate in an exciting way.
“Okay, so the protesters are there every day. They come over, they just hold up the sign, for me, I’m just fed up, I’m full of anger. I just decided to give them a finger because I Think this is the best thing I can do.”
CNN believes that this is the best guest they can find and can present the most rational arguments in the COVID debate.

Outstanding Investigation Report
The surge in COVID is affecting many areas of the country, and CBS News found that a hospital is experiencing tragic staff and tax services. How to best convey this to the audience? How do you express to them that the waiting time is bad, but it doesn’t sound bad enough? ? ?
They found the answer with this pound title.

- ABC 33/40 News – Tuscaloosa
Perhaps if reporters, editors, and photojournalists had had a meeting, they would be able to understand the story in depth. In a report on the termination of federal unemployment benefits, it mentioned how many support programs have been cut, but it did not mention how the workers’ crisis led to approximately 10 million job openings, and 50% of small job vacancies companies struggled to find employees.
Strangely, when the copywriter struggled to come up with a solution, this particular detail was shown in the title image of the story.

Outstanding report on frozen desserts

What won acclaim this week in Joe Biden’s newly created category was this report on how the Federal Trade Commission investigated McDonald’s. This is not an overly shady business practice because of its menus, collusive price monopoly, or minimum wage disputes.
