Although “Don’t mess with Texas” is actually part of the American dictionary, “Don’t mess with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis” is rapidly gaining popularity. A recent example: DeSantis took strong action against Ben & Jerry’s ice cream and its parent company Unilever on Friday, after the company announced that it would no longer be in the “occupied Palestinian territories” or non-anti-Semitic appeals Conduct business in it, Israel.
As Fox Business Report, DeSantis asked the Florida State Board of Management to include Ben & Jerry’s and Unilever on the state’s ongoing review of the Israeli boycott list and initiate a procedure to include these two companies on the Israel’s boycott list.

DeSantis continued, as Fox Business transcribed:
“As a matter of law and principle, Florida does not tolerate discrimination against the State of Israel or the Israeli people, including boycotts and divestments against Israel.”
A DeSantis spokesperson told Fox Business Channel that being on the list means that the state cannot invest state funds in the stocks of companies associated with Unilever, and the state of Florida cannot sign contracts with public companies.
