Didier Deschamps said Kylian Mbappe was “a lot affected” by the French penalty error: “No one will be annoyed by him”

Before goalkeeper Yann Sommer prevented Mbappe from winning in the penalty shootout, Switzerland scored all five of their penalties.

The Paris Saint-Germain striker was comforted only when Lucas Digne had a difficult departure, but his agent came out to defend him-even though he admitted that the mistake caused a heavy burden on the young man Blow.

“No one will be angry with him,” Deschamps told French TV station TF1.

“It may happen when you take responsibility. He is obviously affected a lot.”

Switzerland has never won a penalty shoot-out in a major tournament before Monday-losing the first two attempts.

Their hero Summer said that night: “What a wonderful game! What a wonderful night of football. This is our chance to advance to the top 16 because we have never succeeded before.

“It’s incredible. We play with our heart and character. It’s amazing.”
