Dyson has launched the new Flyaway Smoother. For a salon-like finish, pros finish styling by using a styling concentrate and round brush to bury flyaways in hair—a technique that can be challenging for self-stylists.
The Flyaway Smoother combines two modes in one attachment, allowing you to quickly go from damp hair styling to polished smooth styling. Use Smoothing mode first to dry, straighten and smooth hair, then transition to Flyaway mode to hide flyaways and create a shiny finish.

The new Flyaway Smoother is designed to deliver fast, smooth styling from wet to dry, all in one accessory. Utilizing the Coanda effect, the accessory also tucks in and hides flyaways, replicating what the pros do technique used in the salon.”

The Flyaway Smoother is the first brush attachment designed specifically for Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryers. Taking inspiration from the Dyson Airwrap™ multi-styler brush attachment and harnessing the power of the Dyson Digital Motor V9, high-pressure airflow creates precisely angled airflow for styling and drying at the same time.
After styling in Smooth mode, the styler switches to Fly Away mode, which takes advantage of the airflow phenomenon known as the Coanda effect. This is created when high velocity air flows over a surface, where it adheres due to pressure differences. This attracts hair to the attachment while smoothing and drying hair, collecting flyaways.
Hair dryers designed for all hair types
The Dyson Supersonic™ hair dryer is powered by the small but powerful Dyson digital motor V9, which spins at up to 110,000rpm, 6 times faster than other hair dryer motors. The size of the Dyson Digital Motor V9 allows engineers to reposition the motor on the handle for optimal hand balance. Smart thermal control measures air temperature over 40 times per second and regulates heat. This prevents extreme heat damage and helps preserve the shine of your hair. Air Multiplier™ technology triples the air volume to create a high-pressure, high-velocity controlled jet of air for fast drying and precise styling.

The Dyson Supersonic™ Hair Dryer has four heat settings, three airflow settings and one cool setting. Precisely designed magnetic attachments help achieve a range of different styles. Other accessories include:
