A word we use a lot at home is canteenwhich has multiple translations, including Water bottle, canteen, flask and thermos. Why? Because my three year old has a horrible habit of misplacing them all the time!

canteen is a feminine noun, from Spanish eraser, which means “leather pot”. It requires the following definite and indefinite articles:
- bottle = Water bottle
- bottle = Water bottle
- a water bottle = a water bottle
- Water bottle = (some) water bottles
Note that the plural is not spelled out bottle* with I but Water bottle. This is because -CIA The ending is preceded by a consonant, not a vowel. If it is preceded by a vowel, the ending becomes -cieas in the word cherry: cherry – cherry.
Drinking bottles are a good ecological alternative to single-use plastic bottles.
