Davidson College is working hard to get students to school.
By “student” I mean the church.
By “church” I mean a white church.
According to reports Campus reform, North Carolina School-as described Richest net, “One of the best liberal arts colleges in the country”-will spend $1 million to educate the “predominantly white” congregation.
Theme: How to work hard to achieve racial equality.
It needs to be clear that the funding comes from Eli Lilly Donation Company.
Lilly is a private foundation focusing on charitable enterprises centered on race and faith.
Davidson’s project is called “the church that thrives for racial justice.”
Of course, “justice” is a subjective term.
Once upon a time, it meant equal opportunities.
But if “fair”-equality Result- Is the goal, this is a difficult task.
Facts have proved that the white church has a problem of extreme racism.
Therefore, according to Davidson online, The project will hire a cool Mill to “illuminate the challenge of racism in the predominantly white North American congregation.”
In addition, it will “build on their commitment to racial equality and expand their ability to fight racial justice.”
More from Web page:
Gerardo Martí, Professor of Sociology at Davidson College’s L. Richardson King, will lead the project in collaboration with Paula Clayton Dempsey, Director of Partnerships at the Baptist Alliance (Myers Park Baptist’s sectarian partner). The core team of the project also includes sociologist Mark Mudd of Calvin University and Kevin Dougherty of Baylor University, who have been studying the racial and ethnic dynamics of the American church throughout their careers.
If I can provide some irrelevant information: Since the project aims to educate whites on how not to be racists (presumably due to the assumption that whites are racists), I might need to point out Geraldo, Paula, mark, with Kevin All are white.
Even so, Paula still wants to eliminate systemic evils:
“As we participate in the booming congregation project, the leadership of the Baptist Alliance hopes that our congregation partners will actively accept our stated commitment to expose and resolve deep-rooted systemic racism.”
The cure is here:
“By doing so, we will heal as our system changes and we develop identities and practices that encompass the multicultural ministry in the world today.”
So, what are the “multicultural” church methods?
Obviously, they are partly related to hammering heterosexuals:
“Earlier, the sect was defined as welcoming women to join full partnerships in ministry and participate in universal and interfaith partnerships. The alliance developed to affirm and embrace the LGBTQ community.”
White sneered at what was once wonderful:
“Now the sect is committed to finding a way to repair the damage caused by white rule in itself, the church, and society in order to nurture the community.”
Judging from the headlines of the entire Internet, the white people really messed things up:

White supremacy is everywhere:

Back to Davidson, it’s announcement Timing to win:
The funding from the Thriving Congregations Initiative came from a strategic moment in the history of the alliance. In 2018, the leaders of the coalition recognized racial justice as a key need in the current national context and issued a new statement of sectarian commitment, beginning with: “Systemic racism has always been part of the history of the United States of America and continues Existence. We, the Alliance Board of Directors and staff, recognize that our organization was born out of white privilege and white supremacy.”
According to the point person Gerardo Martí, the alliance will fight those Baptist church members who support slavery:
“The Alliance was born in a sect whose history is deeply entangled with Christian support for slavery.”
Thankfully, they are willing to clean the house:
“By looking in their mirrors, they not only say that racial injustice is a problem, but they are willing to carefully examine how all aspects of racial oppression and racial marginalization remain in their churches, even if they are the most daring opponents of racism today. One of the Christian advocates.”
We will see how it goes.
But judging from all the relevant links above, Davidson may need to accept some dedication while they are in church-repairing America (or even just religious racists) will require more than a million dollars.
Nevertheless, this university was not accomplished overnight. It is working hard to repair the society in many ways:
