There are many mysteries in the universe, one of which is how socialism continues to be as popular as it is among ordinary people. We live in an era where our history as a species is almost within reach, but there are still too many people who think that the ideology of killing millions of people (and still killing people today) is a good idea.
Wherever socialism or communism goes, hunger, disease, murder, and tyranny will follow. Whether it is Soviet Russia, North Korea, Venezuela or China, we have all seen the horror of countries where the government controls all or most aspects of society. In many cases, we have seen people attack it in some form.

I will not delve into why socialism does not work on an economic level, because there are smarter people who can explain it more eloquently than me, but the truth is, I don’t think I have to do it. If I pick up a piece of hot coal and it burns my hand, I will not continue to try to pick it up, thinking “it will be okay this time”. The same can be said of socialism. It is not just about stopping being a harmful system.
In addition, whenever someone points out these shortcomings, those who want to become socialists will scream “This is not real socialism” when in fact it is. The socialism that we see plays a role in countries that use it and fails is a logical conclusion based on our guilt and impulsive socialism as a self-centered species. What these people refer to as “true socialism” is idealized. On paper, socialism works well, but so do many plots in fantasy novels. More importantly, even the socialist heroes admired by these potential socialists are more bourgeois than many millionaires and billionaires they claim. In fact, people like Bernie Sanders, Patrisse Cullors, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and even “fortunately baby boomers” girls are very good salespeople. You buy the lies they sell, and they turn your support into donations and power. You can support a failed system, and your liberal arts degree will get nothing, and they will tell you that you are fighting a wonderful battle from their very expensive lakeside holiday house.

If socialism is so great, why do some of its greatest supporters live like people they tell you to hate?
I have never seen any socialist face these ideas. Nine out of ten of them engage in some kind of capitalism claims, and half of them are soaked in half-truths or outright lies. Even the countries where they have introduced viable socialism have also introduced a large amount of capitalism to maintain their survival, but they do not want to admit this.
