The ASUS x Zarah Juan partnership culminated in collaboration and celebration of Filipino craftsmanship with laptop turnaround and professional training for Filipino artisans.
ASUS Putting Filipino Craft at the Forefront of the Recently Concluded Incredible Transformation: A Workshop on Business Management for the Future of Filipino Artisans.Following the success of the ASUS Zenbook S 13 OLED last year, ASUS and Zarajuan The collaboration culminated in dedicated digital literacy training and the donation of laptops to seven Filipino artisan communities from different parts of the Philippines. On March 9, 2023, artisans from Sebu Lake, Davao City, Isabela Province, Pat, Bulacan and Marikina gathered at the Ortigas Center in Pasig City. Each community received an ASUS laptop to support their business transformation and digitize their day – business transactions today.
In September 2022, ASUS collaborated with Filipino social entrepreneur and fashion accessory designer Zarah Juan to design and create a limited-edition sustainable locally manufactured bag, launching the world’s lightest 13.3-inch 2.8K OLED laptop Asus Zenbook S 13 OLED. The Zarah Juan brand is the designer’s disposable bag solution. Her journey as a designer and entrepreneur has seen her strengthen the livelihoods of Filipino artisans. It has now grown into a brand known for its #ProudLocal productions made by Filipinos from different parts of the country. In addition to environmental sustainability, Zarah Juan also promotes social sustainability and maintains cultural continuity by showcasing Filipino heritage.

Filipino artisans participated in a one-day workshop to learn how technology can make their livelihoods more efficient, faster and more comprehensive. They must be familiar with creating data sheets and coding business information such as product costing, material inventory, and administrative forms. They also learn how to take good care of their laptops to ensure they get the most out of them and benefit them for generations to come.
