From February this year, Grab users can use their GCash to pay

Paying for your ride and food delivery will soon become simpler and hassle-free through a partnership with GCash, the nation’s top mobile wallet, and Grab Philippines, the market leader in delivery and transportation.

When Grab customers add GCash as a direct payment method on the Grab app, they will have access to the fastest, safest and most convenient cashless transactions due to historical relationships. By February, GCash will be officially accepted as a payment method on the Grab platform.

Through this partnership, customers can select GCash as their preferred payment method and use their smartphones to quickly and easily pay for GrabCar, GrabFood, GrabMart, GrabExpress and other Grab services cashlessly. Also, thanks to this partnership, consumers can avoid transfer costs of up to 50 pesos.

“Through this partnership, we are re-delivering on our commitment to make Filipinos’ lives better every day by providing a more convenient, safe and cost-effective way to pay for rides, food and grocery deliveries.” For the better. We look forward to this partnership as we continue to innovate and build more partnerships to improve the lives of Filipinos,” said GCash President and CEO Martha Sazon.

To make their cashless transactions even more convenient and beneficial, Grab customers can also enjoy exclusive GCash offers and get special treatment when paying for transactions with GCash.

Grace Vera Cruz, Country Head, Grab Philippines shared, “Grab Philippines’ commitment to empowering our stakeholders in a digital-first economy is key to driving deeper and wider adoption of cashless in the country. “As more and more Filipinos transact cashless, we are accelerating our digital transformation. We look forward to working with like-minded partners like GCash on this agenda, and we are optimistic that through this partnership, we can improve the lives and livelihoods of our many kababayans while building a cashless, digital-first economy for all Filipinos.”

Grab is Southeast Asia’s leading ride-hailing, food delivery and on-demand grocery delivery super app. It has a strong foothold in markets such as the Philippines, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to this, GCash and Grab have established a strategic partnership. Their initial partnership allows users to transfer money from their GCash wallets to their GrabPay wallets and vice versa, providing Filipinos with a safe, seamless and reliable digital experience.

Building on the shared mission of GCash and Grab to solve the everyday needs of Filipinos, this partnership also helps create a leaner cash and digital-driven economy.

As part of realizing the vision of “Finance for All”, GCash will continue to innovate and form partnerships to provide affordable, convenient and secure services – making life better for Filipinos every day and beyond in the new normal .
