article – My main “battlefield”. I’ve been working from home for about 9 years now, but I’m updating things all the time. I use this station for work and play and set it up accordingly.
Here is the list of items:
Monitor: Monoprice Dark Matter 34″ Ultra Wide. This monitor is great for productivity (similar to having 2 screens side by side) and gaming. Fast refresh rate, great color and best resolution are perfect for me.
Computer: Custom AMD 5800x / Nvidia RTX 3080 built-in Thermaltake S100 case. PC gaming graphics cards are overpriced and haven’t been available for 2 years now (like the latest generation of consoles), but I persevered and luckily grabbed the MSI 3080, which got me through the pandemic.
keyboard: Honor Modular Mechanical Keyboard and HyperX Pudding Keycaps. I love a good mechanical keyboard and the GMMK works flawlessly for me. It’s built like a tank, and the simple keycap swaps match my white theme in the little work/game nook.
mouse: Logitech G903 : This mouse is great for gaming and work. It’s easy to change DPI/sensitivity with a quick button, the scroll wheel can be toggled from free spin to instant click, and it tracks like butter. The battery life is also basically forever, I often go for weeks and forget to charge it.
earphone: EPOS | SENNHEISER GSP 601 Wired Gaming Headset : I have reviewed and used several other earphones and headsets since the EPOS GSP 601, but I continue to use it for a great mic and amazing audio. The white accents don’t hurt either.
I also set up a treadmill station. This one is mostly for work (I try to work on the go). I added a wall mount and built a permanent table top, then also added a laptop tray.I am currently using Kensington SD2500T Hybrid Nano Docking Station Using a single Thunderbolt cable to connect everything to my work Macbook makes it super easy to come and go with my work laptop.keyboard is Epomaker AKKO 3068 Silent Bluetooth 5.0 I like the keyboard. The keyboard can easily switch connections for different devices, so I can even use my phone or other laptop with the dock and the Bluetooth keyboard. I use the same mouse as the master because it’s the best.A treadmill is a Ancheer 2-in-1 Folding Treadmill This has supported over 1,000 miles of walking so far. It’s not too fancy, but it gets the job done and I’m amazed by its longevity.
