Get high rewards for information about U.S. hackers


IIn the fight against cyber attacks, the U.S. government offered a $10 million reward for information from overseas hackers.Anyone who helps identify and catch the criminals behind the so-called ransomware attack will get paid like this $10 million (EUR 8.47 million) U.S. State Department Announced on Thursday. The United States is concerned about hacking organizations, and it suspects that these hacking organizations are mainly in Russia.

The government has also launched a website to provide companies, groups and individuals with guidance on how to protect themselves and respond to cyber attacks. When using ransomware to attack, hackers will lock or encrypt the victim’s computer system in order to extort money from users to release their data. According to cybersecurity experts, many of the attackers are located in Russia or the republics of the former Soviet Union.

There have been multiple ransomware attacks this year, attacking thousands of companies. The attacks on large US pipelines and the recent attacks on software company Kaseya are particularly serious. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security stated that the company paid approximately $350 million to retrieve the data last year.
