review – We put holiday lights on for Halloween last year and took them off for Valentine’s Day. We switched from ghosts to snowflakes to dots in our 5 year old projectors. But we only get Christmas colors (red and green) which is always disappointing. So when the Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlights came under review, with an almost limitless choice of colors, we thought they would significantly enhance our Christmas adjacent light show, and we could easily make it for every passing celebration or our Change the light show for the day – today’s whim.

set up
Just a little assembly is required once the Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlight is out of the box.
The power cord is 39.4 feet (12 meters) and you first need to screw the control cable into the back of each floodlight.
We like to play with them at home first. However, if you want to install them outdoors, you can screw in the included ground stakes.
You can tilt individual lights 270 degrees for custom positioning.
The manual says to avoid placing the control box directly on the ground, which can cause problems with your wifi/bluetooth connection. There is a power button on the control box that you can press to turn the lights on and off; or you can double-click for maximum brightness, or you can hold for 5 seconds to reset. But most likely, you won’t be using the power button.
You can control the Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlight using voice control via Alexa or Google Assistant. Or, like us, you can use the app.

You can find the Govee Home app from Google Play or the App Store. After downloading, you can pair it with Bluetooth by searching for H7060.
When I say there are almost limitless options, I mean it. There are literally over 6 million possible color combinations! You can choose specific colors and 28 different modes.
You can “move” the Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlights to the mic and make them dance to the music. You can adjust the sensitivity, use automatic colors or choose your own colors. There are three speeds (Party, Dynamic or Calm).
Under Scene, you have several neat presets like Thunderstorm, Aurora, Rainbow, and every season and holiday. In the DIY section, you have full creative control.
You can also choose to set multiple timers.
Performance
The Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlights are IP66 waterproof, which means they can be used outdoors, but should not be submerged in water.
This set is very beautiful and height adjustable. I would be happy to use it in my front yard, back yard or inside my house. In every location we tested, we were happy with it and are considering getting more. Tip: If you are moving them, be careful not to tangle them.
We love these color options, and as you can see, we light our way for St. Patrick’s Day.
But most of all, we love pairing the Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlight with music in mic mode. These would be great in trick or treat! However, the party mode gave me a bit of a headache, it moved very fast and had a lot of bright flickering, so I preferred the calm on the lower sensitivity settings (it’s still snappy!). Trust me, it can instantly turn your kitchen into a disco…or, in our case, your front walkway into a St. Patrick’s Day celebration.
Mason noted that he wished there was an option to play his music through the app, so the lights would be better synced to the beat, rather than through a microphone. He doesn’t like apps forcing you to play music through them, but in this case, he wants the option to do so.

The Govee RGBICWW LED Smart Outdoor Floodlight is really fun. They can easily replace or enhance holiday projector lights, create instant parties, or be used as more traditional floodlights in your home, backyard or pool area.
