review – When I was younger, I lifted weights and other sports that put a lot of demands on my body almost every day. Now that I’m older, I’ve opted to switch to cardio and low-impact exercises like rowing and cycling. My wife and I have turned cycling into a “couple thing”, and in order for us to be adventurous and explore trails far from where we live, we need to get there by bike. I now have a chance to see if the Hollywood Destination Hitch 2 Bike Rack is for us! !
What is it?
The Hollywood Destination Hitch 2 Bike Rack is a lightweight bike hitch rack for 1-1/4″ and 2″ hitch sizes. It can safely carry 2 bikes and is easy to install and use. It weighs only 20 pounds and is designed to include individual wheels for easy loading and unloading. It also features padded frame mounts to protect your bike on even the roughest roads. The ratchet strap slides vertically along the center post and rotates 360 degrees to accommodate various shapes and sizes of bicycle frames. Locking threaded hitches prevent the light hitch bike rack from swaying during transport, and the rack folds up when not in use.

Specification
This hook is mostly made of metal with some rubber and plastic parts. The mast can be folded down and the hitch tube has an adapter to accommodate a 1 1/4″ or 2″ trailer hitch. Includes threaded pin, lock, cotter pin and tool.
Performance
The Hollywood Destination Hitch 2 Bike Rack comes with threaded dowel, cotter pin, lock and 2 keys.
I have a 2″ receiver so I put the adapter on it and I can easily mount it.
To lift the hitch into storage, I folded the mast down and used tire straps to secure it to the main part of the frame after loosening the bracket. I flooded it by doing the following:
- Remove the clip from the knob
- Unscrew the knob
- Remove the knob
- Rotate the rack up
- Insert and tighten the knob
- Insert the clip into the hole in the knob

The Hollywood Destination Hitch 2 bike rack works great, and it’s easy to attach and detach the bike. Threaded dowel pins and bolts that lock it into storage or extension positions ensure no noise or rattle. The bike remains safe throughout the journey.

- Its connection to the hook is very strong and secure, and will not vibrate due to slack
- Mounting and dismounting the bike is easy

final thoughts
The Hollywood Destination Hitch 2 Bike Rack is the first bike hitch I own and I must say the assembly and installation process couldn’t be easier. It’s well built, and thanks to the threaded connection pins, the connection is solid without any rattling. It holds two bikes well and seems to take a long hit and last a long time. This one works for me! !
