review – LivBars are made from real seeds, grains, fruits and seasonings, few of which are longer than 3 syllables. “Himalaya” is not an actual violation. What I appreciate is the absence of chemicals and preservatives. Our bodies know what to do with real food. I tried the Crowd Pleaser 12 pack LivBars combo. There is no “bad” or “smell” in it! I’ll tell you what I found.
What is it
LivBars is a snack bar created by licensed dietitians with natural whole food ingredients.

feature
LivBars are made from natural organic seeds, grains, fruits, spices and seasonings. No chemical taste shenanigans here, just food. All bars look about the same except for some lighter and darker ones. All are about 3″ square and about 5/16″ thick.

Observed
I will review each flavor individually. The following applies to everyone; these bars are gently Seasoning, don’t let your socks off ‘Wow! Tastes like real blueberries! a flavoring agent. They are also only slightly sweetened, and I appreciate that someone notices how much sugar and salt sneaks into everything we buy.

I’m not sure how the calories got to 220 given the natural seed ingredients, but they were one of the healthiest calories I’ve consumed during my LivBar sampling.
My main test question for home samplers is “can you taste this again?”.
Some will wonder, so I’ll just say it; no flavor is “burpy”. They didn’t keep reminding me that I had that bar for the next few hours. Some flavor fakes do this, and I doubt people are looking for that feature. LivBars do what they can, but don’t hang around when you’re done.

Here are my finds for every flavor I’ve tried.
Ginger Lemongrass Turmeric
I like this. I think it has a ginger flavor. I gave 7 family members a bit of my bar and I’m the only one who will get it again. Most people can sense the curry flavor, but it must be a trick of ginger and turmeric on the palate. I love ginger and turmeric etc in soups. So did the 4 adults in the gang of 7 who tried this bar. But the kids gave this “no” and the adults asked, “What else do you have?…I’d love to eat another one by myself. Thank you family!”
coffee maple cocoa
Coffee and maple are my first tastes. Cocoa seems to be “in” with the coffee flavor. I will get this again, it’s my favorite. It’s also the darkest LivBar. I wish I had more of this.
Blueberry Vanilla
The hint of blueberry is there, but I’m not sure about vanilla. Vanilla is easy to imagine or maybe overlooked? I would buy this again in an assortment box, but probably not in a separate box.
Lemongrass Cherry Matcha
I am surprised by this. I’m not usually a fan of sweet and sour desserts or snacks, but I loved this bar enough to get it again. I tasted the lemongrass tart and cherries, but if it walked into an empty room, I wouldn’t have known Macha.
Raspberry Maca
I like this, but my wife doesn’t like it much. This is surprising because she loves raspberries and I think raspberries taste accurate and natural. Like all the other flavors, it’s mild but pronounced, and the flavor lingers throughout the bar.
what do I like
- ingredients you can pronounce
- Food Ingredients vs. Chemicals and Processing Mysteries
- Good fiber content, but not an insane amount
- Subtle real and artificial flavors

what would i change
- Maybe enhance the flavors of the Coffee Maple Cacao bar – maybe just because I like all of them.
final thoughts
The biggest test of any review we make here is “Will I buy that?”. At $2.75 per piece, it contains real food, no chemical ingredients, and you can decide the price is in line with the value LivBars offers. Some of my family doesn’t like any brand of “texture” bars. I’m guessing they’re more of a “cookie man”?
For God’s sake, LivBars are made from seeds and grains. Double entendre.
Price: $33 (Crowd Pleaser Box of 12)
