review – It seems that no matter how good your phone battery is, every once in a while, you run into a low battery condition at the wrong time. Coincidentally, this is usually when you don’t have access to a wall plug. The myCharge Portable Wireless Charger is designed to help with this, but really?
What is it?
myCharge MagLock Superhero Wireless Charger is a power bank with built-in wireless charger.

Design and Features
myCharge MagLock Superhero Wireless Charger is a MagSafe compatible wireless charger that attaches magnetically to your iPhone 12 or 13 or any iPhone with a MagSafe certified case. It doesn’t attach magnetically to a standard case. Although myCharge states that it won’t work with a standard case, if the case is thin enough, it probably will (like a case I have).
myCharge has a premium hardshell finish that resists scratches, stains and fading. The integrated rubber trim keeps your iPhone from twisting and provides a quieter connection as the magnets pull it to the phone. In addition to the powerful magnet, a confirmation tone plays, so you’ll never wonder if you’re actually charging.
You don’t even have to turn it on; with auto power on, no pressing, just lock and charge. While there is a button if you want to press it, some of us still prefer buttons.
The raised coil design significantly reduces heat compared to flat magnetic chargers. If you haven’t used a wireless charger, heat is a side effect and can adversely affect electronics over time.
The myCharge MagLock Superhero Wireless Charger is also a power bank; its USB-C port can be used as a power-out port to charge other devices. It can even charge devices via the power cord and wireless at the same time. myCharge also features pass-through charging. When plugged in, charging takes precedence over the phone being charged, while charging the myCharge battery is a secondary priority. However, pass-through charging is limited to 5W.
The battery level indicator changes from green to amber to red when discharging. This is one thing I would like to see improved. I wish it had four or five LEDs to indicate the charge level. The indicator light will also flash when charging, and will turn solid green when fully charged.
The myCharge MagLock Superhero Wireless Charger comes with a USB-A to USB-C (Type-C) cable. When I get myCharge, I open it and make sure it’s working. After a few days, I turned it on to take a picture and start my review. However, when I open the box, I see “pull open” on the box, but there is no cable underneath. I don’t recall I took it out a few days ago. After some investigation, I found that the cable is hidden at the top of the box.
Available in 3000mAh, 6000mAh and 9000mAh versions (with 16, 32 and 48 hours of battery life respectively), myCharge will undoubtedly satisfy anyone’s needs. Outputting true 7.5W wireless charging means your phone will charge faster than other wireless chargers that typically only output 5W (even if they advertise higher).
myCharge is also available in five colors: gray, blue, white, purple and red.
what do I like

final thoughts
I really like the myCharge MagLock Superhero Wireless Charger. Although it works without a MagSafe case, it aligns and sticks better when using a MagSafe certified case. USB-C charging is excellent, and the ability to use the USB-C port to charge other devices makes it an excellent all-around power bank.
