review – Despite the years that have passed, I will never forget my ordeal during Hurricane Sandy in New York. During my 14 days without power, I really learned to make sure I always have enough power to power my phone and radio, small fridge, etc. While power packs are readily available, not all power packs are created equal. I need what I call a power station that has enough power to charge and power devices and last for hours. Enter the OKMO 2000W G2000 Portable Power Station.
What is it?
The OKMO 2000W G2000 Portable Power Station is an on/off grid power solution with an option to add a solar solution that combines power plant Comes with 2 OS100 100W solar panels. It converts the solar energy captured by the OS100 100W solar panel into electricity, which is then stored in the G2000 portable power station for later use, turning it into a solar generator. It has 2220Wh capacity, which is 2000W power (5000W surge power). This reliable power source can provide clean power for campers, RVs, or as an emergency backup power in the event of a power outage. It can support up to 10 devices simultaneously.

Performance
Of course, the first thing I did was to fully charge the power station. I can’t really give a charging time as it’s almost fully charged.

Then, I plugged in the phone not only to charge, but also to test the USB port. I use the USB-A to USB-C cable and the USB-C to USB-C cable to charge various mobile devices and they charge very fast and the USB-C PD port is able to power my wife’s laptop and my MacBook Pro.
The image below shows a load test I ran. As the photo shows, I’m using the laptop, charging the iPhone 13 Pro Max, running the fan, and making coffee, and the OKMO 2000W G2000 Portable Power Supply handles it all with ease. I can’t test it yet with my wine fridge hooked up with a couple of other devices, but I plan to soon.
I really like the OKMO 2000W G2000 Portable Power Station. From the power delivery to the charging options, to the weight and build quality, I’m impressed. It would have been a lot better if I had this device during Hurricane Sandy. It’s also great to use in my truck when the kids want to use their mobile devices while powering or charging them. This is by far the best power station I’ve tested and is now the device of choice, even though it’s as heavy as a large car battery to carry around. Not suitable for the beach or picnic unless you are using a cart.
what do I like
- Strong build quality
- Number and type of ports
- charging options
- Power output available for charging and powering equipment
what would i change
- I will add more USB-C ports
final thoughts
I own several power stations with different output capacities and port combinations. The OKMO 2000W G2000 Portable Power Station is the most powerful and impressive one I currently own. I was impressed by testing it by making coffee, charging my phone and running the fan, and charging and using my laptop. And with everything connected I can still power the small fridge and some other devices. It’s heavy, but its capacity supports its weight. I do it well, two thumbs up!
