Well, this is embarrassing. Nancy Pelosi, a self-proclaimed “religious Catholic”, seems to be in serious danger of being expelled from the Catholic Church because of her equally religious support of abortion.
Salvatore Cordileone, the archbishop of Pelosi’s San Francisco diocese, wrote in an article on Sunday. Column Washington Post: “You cannot be a good Catholic and support the expansion of the government’s approved right to kill innocent humans.”

This summer, we discussed whether public officials who support abortion should accept the Eucharist, which caused an uproar. We are accused of improperly injecting religion into politics, and meddling is not in our domain.

I have a different view of things. When considering what the Catholic bishop’s responsibility is to outstanding lay believers in public life who openly oppose the Church’s doctrine on abortion, I look forward to the last great human rights movement in this country — still in my memory — to provide us with how we should respond inspiration.
The example of Joseph Rummel, Archbishop of New Orleans, who bravely faced the evil of racism is an example that I particularly admire. Lamel did not “stay in his driveway.”
Unlike several other bishops in the history of this country, he did not prioritize satisfying the parishioners and the public, rather than promoting racial justice. Instead, he began a long and patient campaign of moral persuasion to change the views of white Catholics who supported apartheid.
Cordileone pointed out that Rummel not only launched a patient movement, he also put pressure on people he knew who supported the apartheid policy, “closed churches that refused to accept black priests,” abolished the apartheid of the Catholic school in New Orleans, and In the face of his decision, “patiently sent a letter to urge an inner change.”

Cordileone wrote that when his patience failed, Rummel threatened to expel his membership, and finally passed, “Expulsion of a former judge, a well-known author and an organizer of the apartheid community.”
Cordileone added: “Two of the three later repented and died Catholics in good standing.
“In our own time,” the archbishop continued the abortion:

The Catholic Church’s continuous doctrines from the beginning, the repeated exhortations of every pope including Pope Francis in modern times, and the frequent speeches of American bishops all clearly show what the Catholic Church’s doctrine is. It’s about abortion.
Archbishop Cordileone is not the first — or even the most distinguished — high-ranking Catholic official to be blamed for Nancy Pelosi’s staunch support for abortion.
In February 2009, as Report At the time, Reuters reported that the then Pope Benedict told Pelosi at the Vatican Conference that Catholic politicians and legislators could not support the right to abortion. Part of the statement made by the Vatican at the meeting was transcribed by Reuters:

By the way, Pelosi had previously kissed Benedict’s ring during the Pope’s arrival on the South Lawn of the White House in April 2008.

Bottom line.
Let’s get to the point, shall we? What happened here? Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone (Salvatore Cordileone) continues, no longer vaguely threatens to expel Nancy Pelosi? Is he bluffing, praying, and hoping that she will eventually “repent” and abandon her in front of you, firm as hell, and sincerely support on-demand, government-sponsored (taxpayer-sponsored) abortion, including the despicable late abortion The practice of abortion?
If so, as I suggested above, the archbishop will be very disappointed.
Or, considering he mentioned the follow-up actions of former New Orleans Archbishop Joseph Rummel and Rummel threatening to expel well-known public figures of his time, if all else fails, does Cody Leon really threaten to fight Pelosi sticks to it together?
Then again, sometimes-ahem-the “confused” Speaker of the House of Representatives is a frail 81-year-old man who may be longer than the archbishop’s time.Of course not that she will try [wink-wink].
