On the evening of July 7, the 53-year-old man was attacked and shot dead by a heavily armed commando at his residence. According to the police, the murder was carried out by Colombian mercenaries. A Haitian doctor living in the United States and a former Haitian Justice Department official are believed to be behind the scenes.
Haiti is in deep political crisis

On behalf of the US government, Pasaki called on Haitian politicians to work together to find a way out of the crisis in line with the wishes of the Haitian people.
