What is a hate crime?
In this case, the race of the perpetrator and the victim are different, and…what else?
Regardless of what it actually is, a 22-year-old man was charged with a crime.
According to reports CBS/Associated PressIn December, Miya Ponsetto met 14-year-old Keyon Harrold Jr at the Arlo Hotel in New York City.
As recorded in the video, in the end, Keyon tried to walk away.
Mia caught him.
why? She believes he stole her iPhone.
Miya’s device was later found in an Uber car.
In a Manhattan court last week, the Piru, California resident pleaded not guilty to aggravating harassment and endangering child welfare.
But there are more problems.
Miya was charged with unlawful imprisonment for hate crimes.
Keyon’s family has sued Miya and the hotel, claiming racial profiling.
But in one Interview with CBS this morning Co-host Gail King, this girl seems to imply that she Can’t Feeling guilty about this kind of thing-she is not even white.
“I am not racial profiling. I am Puerto Rican. I am like, a woman of color.”
But Keyon Harrold Sr. was very upset—he asserted to Gayle Miya that being handcuffed was only “the first step in a very big conversation about racial profiling that needs to take place in the United States.”
According to the musician, he could not even talk about it with Gale if the roles were reversed. Blacks are forced to blame:
“If I do that, as Miya Ponsetto did to my son, I will go to jail now. If I hurt her in any way, I will go to jail now. We can’t even have this kind of conversation. A black man, every day I go out, I must play a perfect game, just like throwing a no-hitter, just to make people believe.”
This case seems to be a good indication of where we are-in many ways.
As far as I know, if there is no race to enter the dialogue, there will be almost no conflict these days.
We are a divided country, and We are splitting ourselves.
As for racism, Keyon Sr. said, “No one has to say the word’N’ to become something”, which is an act.
“I work as hard as I can, just to keep my son in the best condition, to give him a chance to win, to give him a chance to become a complete young man, a complete little boy. Black boy… .. I was shocked that this happened in our beloved New York City.”
The two of them with His wife works-Keyon’s mother is a Beyoncé singer and saxophone player, and his father is a Grammy-winning trumpet player.
In the melee, Old Keen—to use his words—”tweeted [Miya] Keep away from “to” protection [his] son. “
She apologized during her conversation with Gail, but he was unmoved:
“I think her apology is as sincere as when she hushed to you. She said a lot.”

Keyon Jr.’s mother didn’t want him to worry about the reality of the world:
“He kept asking why-like,’Why me, mother? You know I don’t steal anything. I don’t know her. Why?’ As a mother, I have to answer this question…”
Keyon Sr. made a comparison:
“It’s hard to investigate [Miya] The arrest is not just because the person who killed Trayvon Marton was free.Blamer [1955 murder victim, 14-year-old Emmet Till] Still alive. Things could have taken a different path. “
So what is justice?
“I think the idea of justice, like the idea of apology, is not just saying’I’m sorry’. Because people can say “I’m sorry,” but it’s empty. Justice is about change.”
Change may be underway: Keyon Harrold (Jr.) is receiving treatment due to this ordeal.
Paula D’Emilia, Miya’s lawyer, initially claimThese allegations are “shameless and obvious transcendence of the intent of the regulations. All in all, they are absurd and perverted to our legal system.”
However, since receiving an interview with Gale, Paula’s Referrals Tell her client that it may be “mentally unstable” and say “It makes it difficult for her… to move on.”

Her next court appearance date is October 20th.
Say it again—actually, what is a hate crime? This is definitely a crime involving different races. But what else? What conditions must be met to make such an allegation?
As we continue to divide as a society, I expect such accusations will become more and more familiar.
And, perhaps, more and more controversial.
