The existence of birth defects does not negate the reality of biological sex. Even the most serious, technically can still cause a person to be male or female at the genetic level, which is essential when treating certain diseases and taking preventive medical measures. No, the presence of ovaries does not only determine the physical sex. No one has ever claimed this. However, the existence of biological sex is an undeniable fact with far-reaching influence and must be paid attention to.
In any case, if the objection is that a small number of children do not have any ability to clearly define their gender at birth, then these specific situations should be handled in a specific way.
